Come Back
Hey little girl, you know you mean the world.
You could make my day just by looking my way.
So take me by the hand, I’m sure they’ll understand.
It’s not like I can stay, but you know it’s all okay.
So put on a strong face while we get out of this place,
I will take you back another day.
I wouldn’t make a bet that we won’t have our regrets.
Perfect’s not in the cards, but alright shouldn’t be too hard.
Make no oath to me, for tomorrow we shall see,
But right now all I know, is that I can’t let you go.
But we’re still in tonight, where everything’s alright,
You know I always come back to you.
So let’s have this last dance, while we still have the chance.
Forget all that’s been wrong, because I think I hear our song.
My old life’s almost through, but my new life should be with you.
For right now don’t you cry, it’s not the last goodbye.
You saw no reason no to, and I think I still agree,
So step into my car and take on last ride with me.
