The Links Page

One day soon I may even do this with piccies!

Okay, okay. The first link has to go to the two sites that helped me to make this site as good as it looks. The first link contains "Joe’s Tutorial" which will help you with Frames, tables, and basically everything else that is more than the basics. It has step by step in-depth tutorials that are very easy to understand and learn and is even available for download if you don’t want to spend your surfing hours there. The second link is to a page that offers free images to help build your site. The buttons I used that appear to the left (if you are using frames) are from this site originally but I had to botch-job them to get the black background without a white outline. They look ok, huh?

Now here are a few new links that I have only recently come across…

www.blackorc.com ~ Here you will find all sorts of hobbyists who enjoy painting miniatures, sculpting all sorts of things and creating scenarios for their wargames like Warhammer and Warhammer40K. Joining is free and allows you to rate other people’s work as well as posting your own.

www.xanga.com ~ This site allows you to create your own website quickly and easily. It is an excellent tool for those of you who don’t have enough time but want a webpage that looks good or for those of you who don’t want to learn all the HTML code, etc. Also, these pages are mainly used as journals as when you post entries, they appear with a date and other viewers get the chance to comment on your entries. www.xanga.com/mikeytoons will take you straight to my blog.

www.quest-tomb.com ~ Here is the primary stop for Warhammer Quest players. If you haven’t already been there (unlikely), then you should be going soon. It contains not only a vast amount of new rules and quests, etc. but also a message board so that you can talk with other quest players about new rules, quests, characters, and anything else you care to mention.

www.bestwestern.com.au ~ My parents own a motel which is part of this chain. It is the largest hotel chain in the world and so you’ll probably find them no matter where you go. Not that staying at any of them will help out my parents, just one of them. Like you’ll ever find it too…

www.gamesworkshop.com ~ Is that the correct link? I didn’t really want to include this because although if you take the link to their page you will see a very advanced page, the content is rather sad. Not to put the GW lads down, it’s just that they are much better at the games side while there are loads of people out there who have a site dedicated to one particular factor of the games the GW lads create. Such as the Quest Tomb site above which concentrates on WHQ or the Black Orc site above which concentrates on painting models…

http://surf.to/chicane ~ I must say that after purchasing the CD "Behind the Sun" by Chicane, it immediately became my favourite. It’s just that all the songs on it (yep ~ every last one) are so damn sweet. It’s like a mixture of techno-dance-getupandparty-music and easy-relaxing-sleepyboos-music. Anyways, Chicane is very cool indeed and this guy seems to know the most about him. Although this isn’t the Official site, it should be as it tells you every single thing you could need to know. And if you really want to go to the official page, he’s got the links to get you there.

While here are the older links that featured on my older page…

www.sjgames.com ~ All the info you could possibly want on Steve Jackson games. I must admit I haven’t been here in about a year but it is a very cool site and has detailed info on all his games, including test downloads for some and an online tarot reading which is damn sweet.

http://mworld.rydia.net/ ~ "m" is for Megazeux - A "crappy little game with an editor" as my friends call it, it uses ascii graphics and lets you make your own games. The Other Megazeux site I had here hadn't been updated since '97 so I thought I should give you lads the new place. I like to think of myself as a megazeux'er but as of yet have made nothing for the program… Maybe one day…

ign64.ign.com ~ Holds all the information you could need for your Nintendo64. But if that don’t tickle your fancy, you can get any system reviews and previews for any game worth mentioning. Especially the cool up’n’coming "GameBoy Advance"

www.alpha64.org ~ Mods, S3M's, and all other types of music files + the files to play them. Has an extremely large range to choose from. These files can be listened to with an MP3 player but it is better to use one of the players included here as you can take the songs apart and make your own using the instruments supplied in those songs. Again, I haven’t been there in over a year and although most of you will be more interested in things like napster or whatever, if you are interested in no-singing/pure-instrumental type music, the stuff on this site is extremely cool.

www.oocities.org/jaridis_blade/index.html ~ "Legends Of The Blade". If you thought my page was of any interest at all, you should enjoy this page as much as I do. It is a page created by another mentally disturbed person out there (yes, I'm not the only one) and in addition to all the cool wacky normal things in there, there is a complete RPG system developed by one of his buddie. It is free to download and not unlike what you'd get if you could play Dragon Ball Z as an RPG.
