About Me…

Gday Lads!

You have reached my homepage and this current page you are on has information about me on it. So if you just want to get straight into the goodies, why not use one of the links to the left or if you aren’t using frames, scroll down to the bottom of this page and use the links presented there.

Well, this all started way back in 1999. For some time I had wanted to present my ideas to the world from a webpage I could call my own but had never gotten around to doing anything about it. I had printed out a few tutorials I found on the net but hadn’t bothered to read them. So when one of my teachers at the Southern Cross University, Lismore, gave the class the assignment of making an individual webpage, I had finally found the excuse I had been looking for. So I made a basic webpage that you could’ve seen at this same web address up until now. It had almost everything I had wanted to include but when looking at other pages, I always found a much more advanced setup. Now, by using Joe’s advanced webpage tutorial found in the first link on my links page, I have updated my site to what you see now. And it was done quickly and easily using his easy to follow guide. So why not check it out for yourselves?

Anyhow, I left University after only completing 2 years of it. Although the lifestyle was great, the course I had undertaken was not exactly what I had been looking for. Information Technology it was called and even though I was pretty good at the Mathematics and computer work, the management side sucked up the big stuff. So I left in 1999 to find that my parents back home were moving out. They sold their house before finding a new place and only had the idea that they wanted to buy a Hotel somewhere in Australia. So for a while, we moved about the place ~ from Bowral to Kiama to Wollongong to Sydney to Albury ~ with various trips further abroad to find the suitable seller. During this time I did a short course in Animation to allow me to take my drawing skills in a new direction. Then I found that only about 16 jobs are given out each year in animation in all of Australia for the 200 or so applicants. Sucky, huh?

The thing is, is that I have been told that it is so much easier to get jobs in America and since my great sisters are already over there and telling me all the time how great it is, I have been trying to get it all together to go over there. I got a job in Sydney to save up some money and now I’m just waiting for a Social Security Number to be processed for me. For all of you who are wondering either what or why, here’s the answer. First of all, a Social Security number is the American equivalent of the Australian Tax File Number. It is the number that lets you work and get paid. So you see, I need to have one. Secondly, the reason I didn’t already have one was that because when I was born in the small town of Dunstable, Massachusettes in 1979, they no longer gave the numbers at birth. They changed the system to give them out when you turn 16 and because my family came over to Australia when I was 7 years old, I never knew I had to apply. Which leads me to now.

When I go, I’m hoping to stay over there for quite some time. During this time it will be extremely hard for me to update this page. The only way I think I will be able to do this is if I just put additional created files on this site and link them to my xanga site which I will continue to upgrade as it is easy to do so. So if you’ve checked out all the stuff here and are waiting for an update, look to my xanga page on the links page. And if some of the links to other sites stop working, don’t bother informing me as I probably wont be able to fix it.

I’ve been itching to get up and go for the past few months now and decided that I may as well do some things while I wait. One of those things I have found to do is make this webpage look a lot better than what it used to look like. Now it’s neat, colourful, and up to date. I’ll just concentrate now on putting even more groovy stuff up here while I continue to wait. After all, there aint much else to do, besides try to finish "Perfect Dark" for N64 on Perfect Agent. I’m only up to "Board Air Force One" at the moment and damn is it hard… but fun…
