Sudden Death
Milton Davis Jr. died suddenly Monday at his home near Underwood of kidney trouble. Aged about 36 years. He leaves a wife and three children. His remains were interred Tuesday at Bunker Hill, Washington County.

On this 15th day of January, A.D. one thousand nine hundred and seven personally appeared before me, a _____________ within and for the county and State aforesaid Sofa Louise V. Davis aged 34 years, who being duly sworn according to law, makes the following declaration in order to obtain the pension provided by Acts of COngress granting pensions to widows; That she is the widow of Milton Davis who was under the name of MIlton Davis at _______, on the 9th day of August, A.D. 1862. in Company D 4th Cav 77 Regiment Ind Vol. in the war of the Rebellion, who was discharged June 29, 1865 and died from heart disease on the 27th day of October, A.D. 1906 and bore at the time of his death the rank of Private, in ___________; that she was married under the name of Sofe Louise V. Davis to said Milton Davis on the 29th day of October, A.D. 1904 by Alex F. Neville J.P. at Underwood, Ind there being no legal barrier to such marriage; that neither she nor her husband had been previously married That she was married to Ed Davis on 30th March 1890 and he died on the 6th day of September 6th 1904. That Milton Davis was married to Mary Penrod on June 6th 1854 and she died July 12, 1887.
that she has not in any manner been engaged in, or aided or abetted, the rebellion in the United States; that no prior application has been filed but Milton Davis was drawing a Pension Certificate No. 492507.
She hereby appoints, with full power of substitution and revocation,
George --eaire of Scottsburg Ind her attorney to prosecute the above claim; that her residence is ___________ and her post-office address is Underwood Indiana.
