Strange Couples is a site that was created and released on December 20th, 2000. It is meant to be ONE site housing numerous pages with bios/information/galleries/rants on various anime couples...couples which I happen to adore. When I was on the net, I found myself instinctively looking for sites on these couples (which more likely or not were non-canon), and at that time...could not find any. With all these ideas (and root beer, to boot ^^), I decided to channel all my energy and delusions into something productive: Strange Couples. Sadly enough, it literally took me days to come up with the name 'Strange Couples'. ^__^
The most important thing for me was to share all this information in a non-hostile environment. I believe that everyone is entitled to their opinion, and if they are willing, they have the right to voice it.
Definition of Canon
In the context of fiction, the canon of a fictional universe comprises those novels, stories, films, etc. that are considered to be genuine (or "official"), and those events, characters, settings, etc. that are considered to have inarguable existence within the fictional universe. Usually items that are considered canon come from the original source of the fictional universe while non-canon material comes from adaptations or unofficial items. Generally, Expanded Universes are not considered canon, though there are exceptions which are considered near-canon.

This History
Version 1.0: Heero and Relena from Gundam Wing
ahhh...back in the day when I was OBSESSED with tables. (The font for the titles was great. It had little snowflakes.) I actually liked this format because each couple had ONE page and I think it was probably a lot easier to navigate. The Heero/Relena picture was something I scanned myself from my Blind Target manga. [If you are a Heero/Relena fan, this is an absolute must have. I love it!]
Sadly enough, Geocities deleted this account a couple years ago and with no backup after a computer crash, approx. half the information that was initially on here was lost. [Not to mention my X and DNAngel page. You don't know how long it took me to create that X page. *shakes head*] Currently up are Risa x Satoshi, Riku x Daisuke and Yuzuriha x Kamui. Currently missing are Asuka x Shinji, Van x Hitomi and Heero x Relena.
Version 2.0: Zero and Kizna from Candidate for Goddess
Current version and created with frames...I know, I know...big no-no, but I like it. Only issue is that if you have a lot of tool bars, the images gets deformed. :( I also played with a Syaoran/Sakura image for this version. I love those two. The image was not scanned/created by me. If you know who did, please e-mail me and I will give the proper credit. ^^
This Girl
Let's see... what to say... The name is Alison, though, I'm usually called Ali. I am Canadian; born in good ol' Saskatchewan ^^, and I've been an anime fan for quite some time now. You will probably never see me dress up in a costume due to a slight Halloween traumatization, and you'll never see me near any Ancient Egyptian/Ancient Rome/Myan exhibit due to another traumatic event in my childhood. ha ha... I LOVE ranting, and that is probably why I made this site and various other opinion sites.
