Who am I?

Giada GarrisonI studied piano at "Cherubini" Conservatory of Classical Music in Florence, under the guide of Maestro Giorgio Sacchetti and Maestro Antonio Bacchelli, I attended the Jazz Music Shool "Testaccio", in Rome.
I was still very young when, in 1978, I moved to the Big Apple: New York, where I lived for 15 years.
I entered into the Actor's Studio and I was part of "The 13th Street Repertory Company" (off-Broadway). My real interest, already at that time, was in Ethnic and Gospel songs. I was a soloist in various New York Church Choirs.

I composed, wrote lyrics and arranged soundtracks and opening titles for Italian and U.S. TV broadcastings, like RAI-TV "Sorgente di Vita" and PBS "Children".

With my own ensemble I perform and I blend Gospel and Spirituals with Sefardic Jewish and North African songs, which all are an important part of my family heritage.
My concerts are not shows, but messages of peace and spirituality and music is their vehicle!
