4-17-00 Well, did my grocery shopping today. Kinda late for me, but I had to wait til I got Robert's check to deposit before I could go. (always a good thing. ;) Anyway, I hit my biggest jackpot today with coupon savings! I saved over $34.00 today! My initial bill was $92.00 (eek) but i paid $57.00 (our average grocery bill) there were a lot of buy one get one frees and i had coupons for them too. hehehe! I love it when i rack up like that! plus i'll be getting rebates on some items too from e-save. I'll be getting my first rebate check from them..should be this week. already got a confirmation email. Plus i use the Valupage for getting coupons off stuff I buy, plus i got coupons from Smartsource today! It's work to get it all together, but it sure is worth it when you can get so much for so much less! I haven't kept track since about December of my savings at the store, but up til then in a years time i'd saved over $550.00, that's two months of free groceries for us! i've done even better since then since I've found these other places to get savings from! I'm planning on taking my rebates and put them towards the cost of the labor/delivery fee we'll have to pay. It wont make a big dent in the cost, but hey, it's more than what would have been there before. :)

I bought a pattern today to make Katlyn some nightgowns. I had to buy her one this weekend since her others are to small for her now. (her biggest is a 2T and she's wearing 3,4T's) and i got it on sale for $5.50, but regular priced ones are around $10! sorry, but i'd rather make some for her for much cheaper. I mean, knowing she'll be out of them within maybe 6 months to a years time. This will be the first thing I've gotten to sew for her anyway. :) that'll make it fun. and the pattern goes up to a size 8, so it'll last for quite some years! :)

And still on patterns, I was going to get a pattern for cloth diaper covers, but couldnt' quite figure out what kind of waterproof material to get for it. the department assistant suggested the waterproof pads that you change babies on. sounded like a good idea. i have some of them and dont really use them to much. could probalby find a lot at yard sales for really cheap too. i'll have to look into it more. it might be cheaper just to buy some on ebay at a good auction.

The kids got a horde of new toys this weekend. My mom went through the storage building and found a bunch of John's old Power Rangers stuff. The kids have had a field day with it! Not that we watch Power Rangers except once in a blue moon, but of course, kids being who they are, they seem to know any kid character with some keen telepathic sense! lol! like Pokemon, we never watch them, but my kids know them and shriek each time they see them! go figure????

Robert is out of town again this week. He did get to come in for the weekend, well, most of it anyway. He's only supposed to be out til Thursday. I'm thinking of going to Dad's again so I can get a chance to see Jennifer and the kids before Hayley's birthday. She's got a party on Sunday, but I can't make it due to a previous schedule in the nursery at church. So i want to take her a little something before hand, since i dont know if i'll be able to get down next week. My trips always center around Robert's out of town trips. :)

oh, did i mention that i won the auction for the 7 cloth velcro diapers? ^_^that makes me set for the small and mediums now i guess. might want to get some more mediums though. I do need to get some wraps for them. the small ones i got are to be like all-in-ones, so hopefully they'll be alright.

we did get a couple of outfits for the baby this weekend at yard sales. 2 to be exact. they were small / newborn sizes, hopefully the baby will be able to wear them! they really are cute, and me and mom couldn't resist. we also got the kids a couple pairs of shorts and a pair of overalls. I just love yard sale time! *sigh* nothing like a bargin! :)

the baby is doing well, he's asleep at the moment, though a while ago he had his little feet going like a bicycle in there. I think it's cause i had a Coke for lunch and a little chocolate "egg" later. He probably got a rush. lol! I've gotta find my appointment card for May. keeps slipping my mind, but I know it'll be upfront when next month gets here. I'm eager to see how Dr. Caldwell is going to meausre me. He knows how worried I am about the size come the end of my pregnancy, so he'll be straight forward with me. the 6th month is fast approaching! wow! Babycenter says I'm already in my 6th month, but i'll wait til sunday to start chirpping it around. It's still exciting to think of it. I cannot express how fast this is going! Though some days do feel like August is so far off, when I think that May is already just around the corner, I'm amazed that the first sighting of my pregnancy test stick is so far behind me now! I am eager to meet our new addition. I'm getting that nesting mother's urge to cuddle and coo at her newborn, and to nurse again. Ah, if only it could come without the pain of labor. :) But at least it's something I easily forget afterwards!

4-21-00 Easter weekend! We spent some time at Dad's this week and got to see everyone. He got a polaroid of me for my 6th month! yeah! i've still got to get my 5th month picture developed. terrible isnt' it? :) you can also view my pictures of pregnancy on it's own page. Baby's doing great. he's currently wearing my cervix out with his frolicking around.

6 months pregnant!

My next appt is on May 3rd. I finally found my appointment card. I"m glad i did cause i thought it was on the 6th! eek! I figure they'll probaly bring up the glucose test this time, but i'm going to refuse it. Hate taking that thing, and i always come out fine. If they notice i'm spilling sugar into my urine, then i'll take it, but otherwise, i can do without it.

I had another dream about the baby last night, but this was quite a weird one. I dreamed i had the baby early (not really early, just a bit) and i was supposedly asleep during this (ha!) and when i went to get the baby from his little hospital 'basinette', i was wondering "why is my son wearing a pink gown?" he also had his recieveing blanket over his head playing with it. i flipped it back and seen his face, had a somewhat tufty growth of light brown hair and big blue eyes and his face shape was that of mom's, kimmy's and john's (taking after Grandpas side) he was laughing and playing too. well, i picked him up to take and lay down with him to go feed and check his diaper, and just KNEW if i looked in the diaper i'd find GIRL parts!! the whole time my mind was thinking, "i know we were having a boy! the ultrasound was a definate BOY!" then robert called and was asking how his son was and i said, "well, i dont know about your son, but your daughter is fine." it made me want to go back and check the ultrasound picutres! i mean, i KNOW it was a boy in that pic! so what's up with that? Weird! i think i'll ask the dr. again if he's sure there's not room in there for two!! lol!

gotta go pee, little one has worn out my cervix to the point i must take a bathroom break!
