RP channel logs: Aelida, Katric

[RP]: (Aelida): Aelida walked hand in hand with Deliza through the streets of Tol Honeth.
[RP]: (Aelida): The sun shone brightly as it sunk on the western skies. The two women entered a small, cheerily lit tavern.
[RP]: Aelida looked around, it looked as any other tavern, there were couples sitting side by side.
[RP]: (Aelida): the main difference was the two men in the corner holding hands, there were also two women kissing passionately at the bar.
[RP]: Aelida smiled. This was a place she could feel comfortable in.
[RP]: (Aelida): a rather flamboyantly dressed man sauntered up to them. 'Delisa, dahrling. How are you sweetness?'
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza giggled. 'Wonderful, Taren, this is my friend Aelida. She's from Algaria.'
[RP]: (Aelida): Taren embraced Aelida with a fluff of his ruffled shirt. 'Welcome to my little piece of paradise, The secret garden.' He started to giggle.
[RP]: Aelida noticed he was wearing a great deal of rouge. She began to snicker, so men can be 'different' too.
[RP]: Aelida says 'wow this place is wonderful.'
[RP]: (Aelida): the two women were escorted to a table.
[RP]: Aelida says 'this is the best place ever, I have never felt so...free to be myself.'
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza peered at Aelida. You have never felt free to be yourself, haven't you?
[RP]: Aelida says 'no, my clan were conservative. That kind of thing was unheard of. I mean, sure, you had your lonely men tending to the flocks and their exploits.'
[RP]: Aelida says 'but the idea that 2 women or 2 men could be… together. That's unheard of.'
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza nodded. 'Well sweetness it's ok to be with me here. Taren told me he has a show going on tonight, they're called the Birdladies. it should be interesting.'
[RP]: (Aelida): Suddenly Taren appeared on the raised stage in the end of the bag. 'Ladies, gentlemen and all those in between... may I present the Birdladies!'
[RP]: (Katric): His feet were sore. He'd been walking for days. All his money spent on, well, something other than a good horse. He stumbled through the gates of another town, unsure of where he was, only knowing that his feet were sore.
[RP]: (Aelida): Suddenly, a group of brightly dressed minstrels played a rousing tune as three very large women appeared on the stage. Aelida looked at them closely there was something... different about those women.
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza cheered. 'Oh I have heard about these type, they're men dressed as women! How fun!'
[RP]: (Katric): The sudden sound of loud music made him jump. The noise came from a tavern. He hesitated, then pushed the door open far enough to see inside.
[RP]: Aelida couched. This was really exciting yet odd to her. What would she refer to them as, a him, her, SHIM?
[RP]: Katric slipped quietly into the tavern, which wasn't hard because of the noise. He hugged the wall, looking around nervously.
[RP]: Aelida looked around, she notices a small man... is it?
[RP]: Aelida says 'Katric?'
[RP]: Katric looked up sharply. Someone had said his name. His fogged brain couldn't tell one person from the other, so all he could do was look around himself blankly.
[RP]: Aelida walks over to him and hugs him. 'Katric! I never thought I'd see you here!'
[RP]: Katric says 'Ael .. Aelida?'
[RP]: Aelida says 'Katric, come sit, have a drink...'
[RP]: (Deliza): pulled up a chair for the cold Drasnian.'
[RP]: Katric nodded his thanks, and slipped into the chair.
[RP]: Aelida says 'Deliza, meet Katric.'
[RP]: Katric stands and bows gracefully. 'A pleasure.' He takes his seat again, and looks around. There was something.. odd.. about this tavern, but he couldn't quite figure out what.
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza nodded her head demurely. God she's beautiful, thought Aelida
[RP]: Aelida says 'well enjoy the show, but I'm not too sure if you'll appreciate it.'
[RP]: Katric raises an eyebrow. 'Show?' His gaze wanders to the stage.
[RP]: Aelida says 'well, it's not your... 'normal place.' Aelida points to two men making out in the corner.
[RP]: Katric blinks. Then blinks again. His mouth gapes open as he suddenly realizes what he's seeing.
[RP]: Aelida blushs.
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza giggles. 'Poor man, it's ok if you want to leave, there are few who would appreciate a place like this.'
[RP]: Katric says 'I...' He can't finish. His mind reels, and he looks around again.
[RP]: Katric blushes.
[RP]: Aelida reaches over and holds Deliza's hand.
[RP]: Katric blushes again, trying to compose himself.
[RP]: Aelida leans over and kisses Deliza on the lips. 'Hope that doesn't make you uncomfortable.'
[RP]: Katric mumbles 'N.. no,' and looks around again. He opens his mouth a few times, as if trying to say something, but can't quite say it.
[RP]: Aelida says 'You ok, Katric?'
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza looks at him closely.
[RP]: Katric blushes furiously and refuses to look her in the eyes. He nods.
[RP]: Katric says 'Y.. yes. I'm fine.' Liar. He kicked himself mentally. Just say it, jackass.
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza chuckles, 'I think he's just fine sweetie. Aren't you Katric?'
[RP]: Aelida blinks.
[RP]: Katric looks at Aelida finally. 'I.. didn't know there were places like this.' He bites his lip, and looks around again.
[RP]: Aelida says 'oh Katric...' It finally dawns on her.
[RP]: Katric blushes again, and looks away. He trembles slightly.
[RP]: Aelida says 'Katric it's ok, I totally understand.'
[RP]: Katric refuses to look up. "You.. you understand?" He is openly gaping at a couple of men engaged in... He blushes even deeper.
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza giggles. 'Poor Katric, it seems we have shocked his system.'
[RP]: Aelida says 'Katric this is my first time to be in a place like this. Imagine, to be able to be free... to pursue what makes us happy, whole.'
[RP]: Katric finally looks up. "Is .. is it really possible?" Tears stand in his eyes. "A place.. to be free.."
[RP]: Aelida loos at Katric with tears in her eyes. 'I have never thought to be free...'
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza reaches over to hold Katric's hand. 'Listen you two. It's ok, you're not alone' She begins to chuckle.
[RP]: Katric grins suddenly, all hint of embarrassment gone.
[RP]: (Aelida): Deliza looks around 'There's a good looking guy at the bar checking you out, Katric.'
[RP]: Aelida giggles.
[RP]: Katric says 'You don't mind, do you?'
[RP]: Katric doesn't wait for an answer. He just gets up and walks across the tavern...
[RP]: Aelida looks after the much more relaxed Drasnian. She giggles.
[RP]: Katric speaks softly to the man at the bar for a few minutes, then looks over his shoulder at Aelida. Grinning happily, he winks.
[RP]: (Katric): Hand in hand, unashamed, the two men leave the tavern and head for the nearest inn...
