RP channel logs: Aelida,
Kinath
[RP]:
Aelida looks down at Deliza, smiling.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza looks up at Aelida 'I love
you, you have made me so happy. I don't ever want to be without
you.'
[RP]:
Aelida kisses Deliza.
[RP]:
(Aelida): The two women stare at each other with love in their eyes.
It was a perfect moment.
[RP]:
Aelida smiles happily.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Suddenly the wind rips the tent open, Aelida wakes up
and ties the flap back down. It was just a dream.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'A dream..... I hate being away
from her.'
[RP]:
(Aelida): Aelida was travelling towards Yar nadrak. It seems as
if a friend of Floyd's had a letter to be delivered. Aelida was
given the task of delivering the letter, but her thoughts remained
in Tol Honeth.
[RP]:
(Aelida): it was almost morning and Aelida knew she would not be
able to go back to sleep. She broke camp and continued on her way
towards Yar Nadrak.
[RP]:
Aelida walked into the gates Of Yar Nadrak after 2 weeks of travel,
cold and grumpy.
[RP]:
(Aelida): After delivering the letter she walked around town looking
for a hot meal and a dry bed.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Looking around there seems to very little in clean and
affordable inns in Yar Nadrak.
[RP]:
Aelida stands in front of an inn. It doesn't look too bad and it
might actually have good food.
[RP]:
(Aelida): The tired Algar walks into the inn, there's only one pig
wandering around. This place looks promising.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'I'd like a mug of ale and a plate
of something edible.'
[RP]:
(Aelida): The innkeeper brings her a mug of ale and a plate of moderately
edible food.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'thank you very much'
[RP]:
Aelida eats her food in silence, Nadraks dont seem to very talkative
people. That suited Aelida just fine. She's able to think of a place
much warmer than Yar Nadrak.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Back in Tol Honeth, Trouble was brewing. There was a killer
on the streets. Normally that wasn't big news except this killer
wasn't politically motivated. His victims were chosen without rhyme
or reason.
[RP]:
(Aelida): The legionnaires found the first victim in an alley. This
was not unusual except for the body had its feet and hands cut off.
[RP]:
(Aelida): the next morning Aelida started out early for Tol Honeth
and her love Deliza.
[RP]:
(Kinath): The voice. Kinath's hand trembles violently and he squeezes
his eyes shut. The voice wouldn't stop. He skitters through the
streets of Tol Honeth like a wounded rat, looking for solace somewhere.
Anywhere.
[RP]:
(Kinath): A tavern. Yes, that's what he needs. Alcohol. He stops
as a woman points at him and screams. He blinks, confused, and looks
down. His hands were covered in blood. Again.
[RP]:
Kinath mumbles some sort of excuse, he doesn't know what, and continues
on his way. His destination is a bar near the docks.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Again another victim was found, their hands and feet cut
off. The legionnaires were baffled, there was no evidence.
[RP]:
(Kinath): The Busty Mermaid. Kinath peers at the sign, not really
comprehending. He just knows there is booze inside. He enters, wiping
his bloody hands on his tunic, and finds a place to sit.
[RP]:
(Aelida): After the sixth victim was found the people became alarmed.
Someone was out there killing randomly.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza smiled as the man entered the bar. Another customer!
[RP]:
(Aelida): She walked to the man 'Hiya! What
can i do for yo?'
[RP]:
Kinath looks up. Blonde. Pretty. Oh yes. Barmaid. His right hand
twitching violently, he stutters "Ale.
Lots, and lots, of ale."
[RP]:
(Aelida): 'I can do that! Anything else I
can do for you?'
[RP]:
Kinath peers intently at the girl.
[RP]:
Kinath says 'N..no.. not now.. th.. thank
you.'
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza smiles at the man as she hands him his ale. 'Let
me know if you need anything else. I'm leaving soon though and Mirall
her can help you after I leave.'
[RP]:
Kinath nods.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza hums as she wipes down the tables. Her thoughts
are of a beautiful Algar woman.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Kinath.
[RP]:
Kinath looks up sharply.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Aelida hurries southwards, thinking only of one woman...Deliza.
[RP]:
(Kinath): That damn voice again. His hand still twitching, he drains
his first mug in one swallow.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Waving goodbye to the barkeep Deliza gathers her cloak
as she readies to go home.
[RP]:
Kinath looks around, panicked, for the barmaid. "Wench!!"
he shrieks. "More ale!"
[RP]:
(Kinath): She was leaving! No! He needed ale.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Stepping out into the sun, the blonde starts her walk
home. Back in the tavern Mirall approaches the man. 'You
need something?'
[RP]:
Kinath stands, brushing Mirall aside. He leaves the tavern, squinting
into the sun, looking for the blonde serving wench.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza stops at a vender a couple of shops away from the
inn. Looking at the selection shee buys a loaf of bread and some
cheeze.
[RP]:
(Kinath): There she is. Kinath heads toward her, his mind already
lost to the dark oblivion as his madness takes over.
[RP]:
(Aelida): She then stops at another cart. Looking at the choices
she picks a bag of apples to buy. Her hands laden with bags of food,
Deliza walks through an alley between buildings. It's a shortcut
home.
[RP]:
Kinath follows blindly, his dagger drawn. He drools, his right hand
trembling .. in anticipation. Normally left-handed, he passes his
dagger from left to right hand, and closes the distance between
himself and the girl.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza looks up at the sky, it is so blue...she is in
love.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Yes, Kinath. This is what we live for. The voice cackles
madly, then goes silent.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza stands there staring at the sky her thoughts on
her lover as she hears a noise behind her. Turning around she sees......
[RP]:
Kinath grabs the girl quickly, his hand covering her mouth to cut
off her scream. He pulls her tightly to him, and whispers Keep walking
into her ear.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza nods mutely.
[RP]:
Kinath chuckles dryly, and forces her to walk deeper into the alley,
the sun seeming to disappear in horror as he finds the darkest,
most hidden corner.
[RP]:
Kinath turns the girl around, gazing into her blue eyes, his own
dark brown eyes wide and uncomprehending. He was lost, completely.
Blissfully unaware of what he was about to do.
[RP]:
(Kinath): The dagger glints once, then without hesitating, plunges
into the girl's chest. Kinath holds her tightly to keep her from
falling, or crying out.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Deliza feels pain and then she's there, in Aelida's arms.
[RP]:
Kinath watches, a grin on his face, as the girl's life drains from
her eyes. He cackles madly, then glances around furtively, to make
sure no one had heard anything.
[RP]:
(Kinath): His right hand, still gripping the dagger, begins to twitch
madly again. He yanks the dagger out of the girl's lifeless body,
blood gushing from her wound, and lets the body fall. He looks,
confused, at his hand, the dagger wavering back and forth as his
hand trembles.
[RP]:
Kinath snarls madly at his hand. "Stop..
doing.. that.." he says in a shaky voice. His hand ignores
him. In his rage, he begins to hack at the girl's wrists, his sharp
dagger cutting through flesh like a warm knife through butter.
[RP]:
Aelida breathes a sigh of relief as she crosses the border into
Tolnedra. She will be home soon.
[RP]:
(Kinath): The dagger grates against bone, then gets stuck. Howling
in mad frustration, Kinath stomps his boot down on the girl's wrist,
the force severing her hand from the rest of her arm.
[RP]:
Kinath picks the dagger up and does the same to her other wrist,
then picks up the hands. Strangely, the tremors in his right hand
seem to have stopped. He takes brief note of this, and goes to work
on the girl's feet.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Collecting his prizes, Kinath stands. He sheaths his dagger,
and glances at the dead girl again. Unfeeling, uncaring, not comprehending
what he had just done, he turns slowly and walks to the end of the
alley.
[RP]:
Kinath looks down in horror at the severed body parts in his hand.
He takes a quick, panicked look around him, then discards them,
rubbing his bloody hands on his tunic. He watches, detached, as
a stray dog comes and collects the fresh morsels, then takes off
down the street, headed for the bar.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Again Legionnaires were baffled. This time the victim
was a barmaid. The killer again severed her hands and feet. However
[RP]:
(Aelida): An apple vendor remembered the girl worked at the Busty
Mermaid. There was a lead finally!
[RP]:
Aelida practically ran into the gates of Tol Honeth. She was home!
[RP]:
(Aelida): people looked quizzically as the tall Algar ran in the
streets. She wanted to be home and in Deliza's arms. How she missed
her!
[RP]:
Aelida ran up to the room Deliza rented. There she found the innkeeper
and his wife cleaning out the room.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'what the hell is going on here?
Where's Deliza?'
[RP]:
(Aelida): The elderly couple looked at Aeliza sadly. 'She's
gone....She was killed...'
[RP]:
Aelida stood there, uncomprehending. Deliza... dead?
[RP]:
(Aelida): there was silence in the room. Aelida stood there frozen..
Her Deliza.. killed.
[RP]:
Aelida screams loudly!
[RP]:
Aelida collapses on the floor. Her life is over.
[RP]:
Aelida sat at the table lost in thought.
[RP]:
(Aelida): She purged many of her feelings
last night, she was sure. The rest was hazy. All she knew is she
felt... free.
[RP]:
(Aelida): She was still very determined to find Deliza's killer,
but her bloodlust was lessened.
[RP]:
Aelida had bade the two girls goodbye, and went into the kitchen
to grab some food
[RP]:
(Aelida): she sat there, just thinking...
[RP]:
Aelida resolved to find that killer, if it was the last thing she
did.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Taren flounced in the room and sat next to her with a
swirl of lace and ruffles. Good morning my dear how was your night?
He chuckled.
[RP]:
Kinath is cold. His fingers tingle and he shivers as the sun pokes
through the clouds. He wanders through the streets of Tol Honeth,
deep in thought. Since the death of the tavern wench, he'd no desire
to kill again.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'I assume it was great since those
two girls left with smiles on their faces.'
[RP]:
Aelida looked thoughtfully at her friend 'I'm
ready to go searching for her killer.'
[RP]:
(Aelida): Taren nodded at Aelida. 'I'm glad
you've come to your senses.'
[RP]:
Kinath pauses as he passes an alleyway. Here. He sees it like it
happened just yesterday. He can feel the girl's hair in his fingers,
smell her blood as she the light fades from her eyes. His pulse
quickens, and he looks around furtively before continuing his wandering.
[RP]:
Kinath sees a bar up ahead. Normally he'd wander in and get a pint,
but this bar was... different. He isn't sure how. He just knows.
Shivering again, he picks up his pace, wanting to get to the nearest
normal tavern.
[RP]:
Aelida stands up. 'Well, if I'm gonna find
him, I should start now.' Taren nodded at her. 'Good luck dahhhling'
[RP]:
Aelida smiled as Taren flounced out of the room in a frenzy of lace.
[RP]:
Aelida steps out into the blinding daylight.
[RP]:
Kinath looks up as the tavern door opens and a girl steps out.
[RP]:
Aelida looks around, all she sees is a shabby man, talking to himself
[RP]:
(Kinath): The girl was pretty, he supposed. His eyes meet hers as
she steps from the tavern and almost runs into him. He stops and
looks her up and down, as if appraising her. His right hand, dormant
for so long, begins to twitch. His head tilts to the side and he
winks at her, then continues down the street.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Some creepy little man just winked at her. She thought
it was odd how his hand began to twitch...
[RP]:
(Kinath): A door slams somewhere. A dog barks once, then falls silent.
The sun rests red and sullen in the sky, brooding as it slowly makes
its way behind the horizon.
[RP]:
Kinath looks up. He crouches uncomfortably in the dark alleyway,
his eyes searching .. for what he does not know. A small glass vial
makes its way from his bag to his lips.
[RP]:
Kinath twitches, his head tilted to the side. Some place. Starts
with a c. Cam something. Where? He doesn't remember. Rheon. He remembers
that. He remembers something furry. Not a wolf. Something larger.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Bears. Yes, that was it. Bears. Something about .. no,
it wasn't that. He shrugs, not caring anymore. Someone walks by
him. He sniffs the air, then stifles a giggle. A girl.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Pretty. Blonde. He can see that much in the dying light.
His dagger suddenly in his hand, he looks at it for a moment. When
did he ..? No matter. He knows what to do with it.
[RP]:
Kinath says 'Camaar! '
[RP]:
Kinath claps a hand over his mouth. Cursing to himself, he sinks
even further into the shadows.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Yes. Camaar he was in. He remembers now. The girl has
stopped, is looking toward him. He stills his breathing, narrows
his eyes to slits. His dagger blackened, it does not reflect light.
[RP]:
(Kinath): The girl turns slowly. Kinath almost cheers aloud, then
remembers to be silent. The girl crosses to the other side of the
empty street, and continues on her way.
[RP]:
Kinath almost crows in delight. She hadn't noticed! Carefully, silently,
he stands and leaves the alley. He walks behind the girl, not crossing
to her side. She appears nervous, but not enough to walk faster.
[RP]:
Kinath watches as the girl enters a side street and, with a small
hop, breaks into a jog. He skids to a stop at the entrance to the
street and peers down. His eye pick out the girls form in the shadows.
She's stopped.
[RP]:
(Kinath): The moon sinks behind clouds and the sidestreet grows
darker. The girl shivers, tugging at her cloak. She fumbles in her
pouch for a key, unaware that her short life is about to come to
an abrupt, and painful, halt.
[RP]:
(Kinath): The girl turns. Her eyes grow wide as she looks at the
man who'd crept up behind her. Dressed in black, he seems to blend
with the shadows. He disappears for a second. She blinks, and realizes
he'd not gone.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Her eyes unfocus again as her brain struggles to tell
her something. She ignores it momentarily, trying to understand
what this man is doing here. She opens her mouth to speak, confused
as to why she cannot.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Her brain again screams at her, and this time she listens.
Her throat hurts. She tries to swallow, wondering why there is a
chill like ice in her throat. She tries again. Cold.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Her eyes close, then snap open as the dagger finishes
its journey through the soft tissues of her throat. She raises her
hand to her throat, then giggles, the sound coming out as a gurgle
as blood flows easily down the front of her dress.
[RP]:
(Kinath): Her new dress. She tries to laugh, dicovers she cannot.
Her mother was going to kill her. That thought causes more attempted
laughter. Bright eyes. Very luminous. She crumples slowly to the
ground, still trying to giggle.
[RP]:
Aelida paced nervously around the Adventurers hall. Something just
wasn't right today.
[RP]:
Aelida mutters 'I need some fresh air.'
[RP]:
Kinath looks down at his dagger. Blood? Yes. The girl's blood. He
smiles kindly at the slowly cooling body in front of him. He crouches
next to it, dipping his hand in the pooling blood.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Grabbing her cloak and dagger, she sets off into the Sendairan
sunshine.
[RP]:
Kinath his eyes narrow. He doesn't want to soil his tunic. Without
thinking, he raises his fingers to his lips and licks them clean.
[RP]:
Aelida tries to calm herself, the last time she felt like this was
the day Deliza was murdered..
[RP]:
Kinath blinks. He looks down at his fingers. Salty. But not bad.
A thought crosses his mind, and he shudders. Even as depraved as
he is, he cannot bring himself to ... no, he won't even think about
it.
[RP]:
Aelida scans the crowds, she knows not who she's looking for, but
is sure she'll know them when she sees them.
[RP]:
Kinath deftly, he severs the dead girl's hands and feet from her
body. He rocks back on his heals for a moment. As an afterthought,
he searches her for .. anything useful. Some money. A key.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'maybe I'll go vist that blonde
again, she may calm my nerves.'
[RP]:
Kinath he discards the key. Knowing it is for the door in front
of him, he has no use for it. They have nothing he needs. His need
is .. was ... in front of him. On the ground. He shudders again.
[RP]:
Aelida starts to make her way through the back alleys, to where
women of that type lived in seclusion.
[RP]:
Kinath sheaths his dagger and looks at his hands. They are clean,
his right hand twitching violently. He steps back from the body
and looks at it curiously.
[RP]:
Aelida stops suddenly, there is a sense of.. death. An all too familiar
feeling of evil.
[RP]:
(Kinath): The thought to raise the alarm comes to him. He would
say he found the body. Yes. Then join in the hunt. He steps back
again, a look of horror and loathing coming to his face. A dead
girl. In the alley.
[RP]:
(Aelida): Looking around, Aelida starts to sharpen her senses. Her
body readies for action, either pleasure, or battle.
[RP]:
Kinath tremble violently, his stomach spewing its contents on the
wall next to him. He wipes his mouth with the back of his hand and
steps backward, stumbling over his feet and into the main street.
[RP]:
Aelida stumbles into a small, man. His eyes look haunted...
[RP]:
Aelida says 'sorry, hey are you ok?'
[RP]:
Kinath appears not to have heard. He stumbles away from the girl
he'd just run into, recognition flashing briefly, then replace by
horror. He raises a violently trembling right hand to point into
the alley.
[RP]:
Kinath says '...th..there.. sh...she's in
... there'
[RP]:
Aelida looks stangly at the trembling man.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'who is in there?'
[RP]:
Aelida gently leads the man in the direction he's pointing, something
doesn't seem right.
[RP]:
Kinath opens his mouth to speak, then turns as his stomach again
attempts to empty itself. He drops to his knees, shaking his head.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'what, or who is in here?'
[RP]:
Kinath says 'No ... no no... nonononononono..
don't make me ... no'
[RP]:
Aelida says 'gasps as her wyes focus on the
mass on the alley's floor.'
[RP]:
Aelida gasps as her eyes focus on the mass on the alley's floor.
[RP]:
Aelida grabs the man a little roughly.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'Speak up and tell me what that
is?'
[RP]:
Kinath whispers, almost to himself, I .. I
don't... She .. she's cold.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'Speak up man!'
[RP]:
Kinath looks blankly at the woman for a moment, then crumples to
the ground, his face in his hands. Too late!
I was too late to save her!!
[RP]:
(Aelida): A small crowd begins to gather. One man walks down the
alley. Once he sees the bloodbath, he retches, and rus back towards
the crowd.
[RP]:
Aelida watches the action out of the corner of her eye, but remains
fixated on the man in her hand.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'did you see who had done this?'
[RP]:
Kinath his head shakes slowly, as if he isn't sure what she is asking,
but is sure that's the right answer. I ..
I'm sorry ... I was too late... too late for .. her. he whispers
to no one in particular.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'Too late? Looking closely
at the crumpled figure before her her mind races... this is just
too... familiar'
[RP]:
Kinath is dimly aware of the growing crowd. His attention is fixated
on the woman clutching his arm and the dead woman in the alley.
[RP]:
Kinath says 'too late'
[RP]:
Aelida motions for someone to keep an eye on the sobbing man. Walking
into the alley she stopps, staring at the gore.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'Her hands...they're cut off,
and her feet too.'
[RP]:
Aelida slowly turns around to see the man on the ground... and the
familiarity and...
[RP]:
Aelida stares at the body, the blonde hair.. the gore.. the memories...
[RP]:
Kinath watches as the woman views the body. He nods as someone asks
if he's well. He waits, then silently melts into the crowd.
[RP]:
Aelida suddenly senses movement, he's gone!
[RP]:
Aelida says 'Hey! Stop him!'
[RP]:
Aelida says 'begins to run down the alley,
drawing her dagger.'
[RP]:
Aelida begins to run down the alley, drawing her dagger.
[RP]:
Kinath senses someone chasing him and begins to run, heading for
.. anywhere.
[RP]:
Aelida swears : #@*"*&^*#%@*&! !!!!!
[RP]:
Aelida pushes people aside, her eyes focused on the man running
fearfully from her.
[RP]:
Kinath dashes down another sidestreet and disappears into the shadows.
He stops at a dead end, then without thinking begins to scramble
up the wall of a building.
[RP]:
Aelida stops, unsure of where he went, and hears the sound of someone
hurriedly climbing the wall.
[RP]:
Aelida says 'Belar! he's climbing the wall!'
[RP]:
Aelida races towards the sounds.
[RP]:
Kinath looks down when he reaches the top. Seeing the woman, he
giggles before he can stop himself, then begins to run across the
roof of the building.
[RP]:
Aelida swears : #@*"*&^*#%@*&! !!!!!
[RP]:
Aelida says 'Dammit, he got away, but I shall
remember his face.'
[RP]:
Aelida says 'I think I may have just seen
the face of the man ive been hunting'
[RP]:
Aelida says 'And if I ever catch him, i'll
hang him by his entrails.'
[RP]:
Kinath scrambles over the rooftops, the sounds of the crowd growing
fainter. He'd gotten away with it! Gleefully, he halts and turns
back to look over the town. Skipping lightly, he turns and continues
on his way.
[RP]:
Aelida walks purposelly back to the hall. She needs to meet with
Gares soon, and she must get his help in searching for this man,
this killer.
