RP channel logs: Fieron,
Kemeron
[RP]:
(Warden
Kemeron Terga):
Once again, Kemeron is found in the lounge, flopped on a stack of
pillows, exhausted.
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
looks over her shoulder, and snuggles deeper into the pile of pillows.
'You look tired,' she notes, taking
a swig from her skin.
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
mutters 'Me? Nope. Not at all. I just... wow,
this takes more out of me than I had anticipated.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'Being Warden, that is.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
nods, putting on a wise expression. 'That's
why I resigned. Much more fun roaming the countryside without the
paperwork haunting you.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
grins, and shifts around the pillows until she's sitting next to
him.
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'Hah, that's a nice thought. Resignation.
I think Shinara wouldn't appreciate you placing that thought in
my head, though,' Kemeron said with a wink.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
makes a face. 'Since when I have really cared
for rules?'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
explains, 'Well, of course, it's never quite
the direct rules with Shinara, but she'd still be a bit peeved perhaps.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
elaborates, 'Y'know, it's less about the paperwork
and more just in general. Running around, recruiting, keeping track
of members. Building things. You know the new tower? Sure I had
hired help but... supervision takes some out of you.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
nods at Kemeron, and sighs. 'Yes, I know...
I blame paperwork, but that's just a little joke with me.'
She shakes her head. 'Perhaps take a break
instead?'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
smiles wryly. 'If the break becomes ah...
permanent, do tell me. I'll go off wandering. Y'know, just in case.'
She winks.
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
laughs, 'Hah, haven't I been taking a long
enough one already? Ten weeks out to visit my old teachers doesn't
give me much more time again to leave.' He continues, 'And
with regards to meeting up with you on adventures, I think Luxiena
might b
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
continues '...might be jealous'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
roll her eyes. 'And these are the days when
I'm glad for the Nadrak upbringing I had.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
wrinkles her nose. 'Can't you use the uh..
Augury thing to get some advice? That is, assuming that's what it's
used for...'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
sighs, 'Oh, I wish that I could. But the Gods
are fickle. Belar would just as soon show me a cod fish as what
I wish to know.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
gives the Warden a curious look. 'So how does
it work?'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says continues '"Oh, that's useful," I get
to say. "The cod will be three days late this year." Doesn't help
the personal life. Well, I pull out my scrying bowl, do my thing,
and... the Gods decide what to show me. It's almost random, really.
I practice the ceremony to get advice, and pray that it'll been
worthwhile.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Her brows furrow. 'Sounds like you're better
off using your head.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'Sadly, yes. So that's why the dilemma.
No other-worldly advice. And that usually doesn't help me too much.
I know how to carve a nice life for my work, but for myself it's
a bit more difficult.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
tries to think in mystical terms. 'Maybe try
carving yourself and see what it turns out to be like? Sort of combine
Augury and carving, if it's possible. To see what you will be or
something?' She stops, looking mildly embarassed. 'If
it's just
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
rubbish ignore what I said.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
mockingly shields his eyes and pretends to snore in response.
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
scowls, and throws her hands in the air. 'Fine,
fine! You could have just said, you know.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'I'm kidding, I'm kidding, Ms. Huffy!
Seriously, it's nice to have you non-sorcerous types around. You're
outside the establishment and can think differently than we do.
Come up with new patterns of thought.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
scratches her head, confused. 'So was what
I said useful or not?'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'I must admit, the idea has merit. It's
a possibility I may be able to play with.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
brightens. 'Well, that's good then.'
She sighs happily and takes another swig from her skin. 'Othlass?
Or do you prefer your wine?'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'Ah, you know. I love my wine.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
chuckles. 'Can't help you there then. Don't
carry a stash of wine with me.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'A nice wine might do me well at this
point. He then goes over to a niche in the wall where he
usually keeps a glass and a bottle in the lounge.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'Luckily, I'm addicted enough that I
keep my stash all over the place.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
nods. 'Good plan.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
shifts to a more comfortable position, and winces as her dagger
hilts jab into her ribs. She adjusts her belt, muttering to herself.
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'I'd offer you a glass, but I don't really
have another.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
walks back over and takes his seat back.
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'Unless you'd like a sip?'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
shakes her head. 'I'm fine. I don't like wine.
Or beer. Just good, ol' Othlass. Being patriotic and what not.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
shakes his head. 'I'll never understand you
people.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'Either of your people.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
raises an eyebrow. 'Of course. Or else what
fun would there be in life, understanding each other?'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'Well, I'd appreciate the part where
we get in fewer Wars. Arendia could do with some understanding.
In my honest opinion, an Asturian and Mimbrate getting married and...
consummating... is more fun than spilling each other's blood.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
blushes at his reference.
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
notes Kemeron's flushed cheeks, and sighs inwardly. 'Well,
fewer wars would make easier travelling, but I doubt there can be
a state of NO wars. Even with the Gods around. Maybe if there were
more half-breeds like me, to breach the races.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
chuckles as an image appears in her mind. 'Imagine
an Algar-Murgo!'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'That'd be nice, though they might have
some internal struggles. I think thus you should go find a bunch
of other races andd breed for the good of the world!''
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
snorts. 'Me? Breed? Children? Pah!'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'And why not?'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
grins at Kemeron. 'If I get annoyed I'm liable
to drawing my dagger or using my various ah... conconctions. Since
children tend to be annoying, having them around me isn't a good
idea.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'So bear them, then ditch them. Let the
fathers take care of them. C'mon, you can't tell me you don't like
the conception part.''
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
winks at Fieron Raines.
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
pretends to gag. 'I don't mind the...'
She gives Kemeron a quick look and decides to use a more 'discreet'
word. 'Loving bit, it's the part where the
child's in your tummy onwards that I don't like.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
teases, 'All part of the sacrifice for world
peace. You just aren't willing to do your part. You're clearly the
sole cause of war, you yourself.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
eyes Kemeron. 'Now, now. It wasn't my idea
to have world peace.' She tosses her head, flipping her lush,
black hair back. 'And it isn't my fault if
my beauty causes men to fight over me.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says '...and that's one of the advantages
of settling down.' and pauses for effect before revealing
too much of his love life to Fieron in an effort to freak her out,
'no fighting unless you're looking for a little
wrestle.''
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
winks at Fieron Raines.
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
suddenly grins wolvishly, and strokes Kemeron's arm. 'Well,
I wouldn't want it to be too easy... Besides, a little fight does
warm my blood.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
teases, 'Well, perhaps we'll have to do something
about your cold Nyissan blood sometime...' as he mockingly
rubs some blood in her arm, and then abruptly stops and looks away.
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'But, anyway. I should get to bed. I'm
not giving up on the Minstrels yet, and have alot to do for them
still. I need my beauty rest. Though I have no idea sometimes why
I continue to do it.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Her smile fades, and she sighs. 'Well, do
consider a break... be it short or permanent. Don't want her to
come chasing after the clan when you collapse from exhaustion.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
says 'I'll think about it, and let you know
if I decide to take a break. But I still think it's a long way off.
Too much love for this clan, though sometimes it's a pain.'
[RP]:
Fieron Raines
nods, and prods Kemeron in the arm. 'Well,
go on, get some rest. I'd offer you a little something to help your
sleep, but most people refuse my offers.' She sniffs. 'They
don't trust me.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
eyes her dagger and says, 'I can't imagine
why. You're the most honest person I've ever met, after all. I guess
people are just mistrustful of pretty ladies.'
[RP]:
Warden
Kemeron Terga
leaves for his room, and bids her farewell.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Her eyes narrow, but she can't find anything wrong with his statements,
so she just shakes her head and waves him away. 'G'night,
Warden.'
