RP channel logs: Elithar,
Fieron, Jaerel
[RP]:
(Elithar): At Fisher docks Elithar tries to get a fisher to take
him out on a boat, the gossip about shark fishing has gotten him
and he wants to try his luck.
[RP]:
Elithar walks up to a fisher and ask: 'Say,
You wouldn't be able to take me out and find some shark for me?'
[RP]:
(Elithar): Looking up at Elithar the fisher answers 'Are
you insane, can't you see the waves out there? I'm not going out
in this... ' and then mutters 'landlubber'
[RP]:
Elithar mutters and tries another boat.
[RP]: (Fieron
Raines):
The fisher mending his nets looks up at the approach of a Sendar.
[RP]:
Elithar smiles at the fisher and asks:
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Nice boat you got there.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The fisher flashes Elithar a grin, and pats his boat proudly. 'Aye,
weathered many a storm with her.'
[RP]:
Elithar looks over the boat and smiles 'Really?
It doesn't seem so big.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The fisher nods solemnly, as he continues tying the string of the
net. 'Good wood is hard to come by.'
[RP]:
Elithar takes a step back as the smell of the fishes hits him.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'I see, hmm... well I was wondering
if you could take me out to do some shark fishing?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He puts aside the nets and stands up, stretching, then picks up
a bucket and starts bailing out fish onto the docks. 'Sure,
if you don't mind the smell.'
[RP]:
Elithar thinks well I guess I needed new boots anyway...
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He pauses to look around, and yells 'Hoy!
Boy! Come here!' A boy appears from behind the crates. 'Finish
unloading the fish. I gotta take someone outta sea.'
[RP]:
Elithar smiles 'Not at all.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The boy nods, rolling up his sleeves and taking the bucket.
[RP]:
Elithar pulls up his cloak a bit and starts going up the gangway.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The fisher sticks out a hand. 'I'm Tannol.'
[RP]:
Elithar lets go of his cloak and takes the fishers hand.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Elithar. '
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol nods, and beckons. 'She's at the end
of the dock.'
[RP]:
Elithar gets a sheepish look on his face and walks down from the
gangway he was on and says 'Right, after you
then.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol jumps into the boat, larger than the previous one, and removes
the covering of the boat.
[RP]:
Elithar looks at the new boat and thinks ' That's
more like it!'
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Alright if I come aboard?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He nods at Elithar. 'Make yourself at home.'
[RP]:
Elithar climbs aboard clinging to the railing.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol quickly unhitches the rope from the dock, and coils it.
[RP]:
Elithar gets a worried look on his face.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He then hoists the canvas sail, and grins. 'Careful
of the boom now. Might brain you if you're not careful.'
[RP]:
Elithar says 'You can work the boat all by
your self?'
[RP]:
Elithar fixes his eyes on the boom.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He shakes his head. 'Need two people. One
to take care of the sail, the other to steer.'
[RP]:
Elithar smiles nervously.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Right, so what do I do?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol gestures at the wheel. 'Think you're
better at that then what I'm doing,' he says as he allows
the boom to swing free, but retains a firm grip on the rope.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The boat starts moving slowly away from the docks, and Tannol locks
pulley. 'Oh, and if you're the seasick type
please do it over the railing.'
[RP]:
Elithar nods.
[RP]:
Elithar takes the week. 'Right and we are
heading where?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He points southwest. 'That's shark territory.'
[RP]:(Elithar):
Leaving the week Elithar quickly runs to the railing and leaves
his brekfast on the others side.
[RP]:
Elithar gets back to the week and spins it hard, trying to avoid
another boat coming in.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol laughs, shaking his head. 'Be careful
there. Don't want to wreck her do we?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He licks his finger and lifts it in the air, and nods. 'The
winds are favourable, at least.'
[RP]:
Elithar says 'So what to steer at?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol glances at the rigging, then joins Elithar at the wheel.
He points to the compass 'See that?'
[RP]:
Elithar looks on the pieces Tannol is pointing at.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Yes? '
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He points to the 'W'. 'That's West.'
He then points to 'S'. 'That's South. So southwest
would be between the two. When the needle is pointing in the same
direction as the prow... the front of the ship, we're going the
right way.'
[RP]:
Elithar studies the needle and turns the wheel to make it stop between
the W and S
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol hums to himself as he checks the rigging every once in a
while, and testing the wind direction.
[RP]:
Elithar has his hands full watching the needle. Turning the wheel
every now an then.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The sky remains clear, although strong winds whip up the waves,
making the boat rock wildly.
[RP]:
(Elithar): Suddenly there is a big CRACK, and Elithar and the Tannol
are thrown forward.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol manages to grab onto the railing, and when he find his footing,
runs to the front of the boat.
[RP]:
Elithar gets up from the other side of the weel, and rubs his head,
'O', gently he rubs over a bump in
the back of his head.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'What happened?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He breathes a sigh of relief, thanking the seven Gods that he bought
this wood. He takes some tar and smears it over the small cracks,
and for the larger ones he stuffs them with rags, and covers them
with tar too.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He returns to the deck. 'We're lucky. Not
much damage.'
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Aa... what was that a whale?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol rolls his eyes and mutters 'land lubbers
indeed'.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines)
He says 'No, we hit a reef.'
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Oh... oh... yes... right.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol turns the wheel slightly, and the currents carry them past
the reef.
[RP]:
(Elithar): As his head becomes clear he looks out over the water.
[RP]:
Elithar points out to the right of the boat, 'Is
that sharks?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol glances sideways. 'Nope. But we're
almost there.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol leaves the wheel to raise the sails halfway upwards, and
watches the sea carefully.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He lowers the sails again when they move over the ocean shelf, where
the sea suddenly turns from a blue to almost black.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol also drops the anchor, and nods. 'Shark
territory.'
[RP]:
Elithar lets his gaze scan the surface of the water.
[RP]:
(Elithar): Seeing a fin at the back of the boat Elithar walks over
and ask
[RP]:
Elithar says 'You got any rope, hook and bait?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He nods at the pile of equipment near the prow. 'I'll
get the bait.' He disappears below deck.
[RP]:
Elithar keeps his eyes fixed on the water, trying not to lose the
sight of the shark.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He emerges, carrying a large, waxed package, and cuts the string
with a knife. He unwraps the meat.
[RP]:
(Jaerel): Rowing in a somewhat capsizable boat nearby.
[RP]:
Elithar looks over his shoulder and smile.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'That's the stuff. Now quickly..'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Damned the Cherek who sold me
this rotten thing'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol shrugs. 'I dunno how this works. You
gotta tell me.'
[RP]:
Jaerel gives a sigh of relief when he sees a boat with passengers
nearby.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Right, well tie that hook to
a strong rope, then fasten a big chunk of that meat on it. And bring
it here.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol does as instructed, and hands it over to Elithar. He noticed
a boat rowing towards them. 'What's a row
boat doing this far out at sea?'
[RP]:
Jaerel yells 'Could you give an old man a
hand here?'
[RP]:
Elithar looks up over the railing. And looks over at the boat.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol cups his hands and yells back, 'Don't
see how we can! I'm not swimming in this shark infested place!'
[RP]:
Jaerel yells 'Well sparing me some place in
that mighty boat of yours could be a start.'
[RP]:
Jaerel looks at his own boat and mutters.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol shouts 'Sure. Now come aboard quickly
before a shark gets yah.'
[RP]:
Elithar says 'We have to take him no.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol shrugs. 'We've got the room. I could
always charge him when he's on board.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol picks up a coil of rope and ties one end to the railing.
He waits for the boat to get closer.
[RP]:
(Jaerel): Jaerel's boat finally reaches Tannol's boat.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'here goes nothing, I'm coming
aboard'
[RP]:
Elithar walks over to the railing and lends a hand to the newcomer.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol uncoils the rope. 'Climb aboard!'
[RP]:
Jaerel heaves his old and worn body onto Tannol's boat.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'There, that's better.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol unties the knot and coils the rope. 'Welcome
aboard the Dancer.'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'That damned Cherek Gralthig cheated
me out of my gold for that damned leaking boat.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol grins. 'Well, we're shark hunting here,
so if you've got so stomach for fun or blood you could help bail
out some water from down there...'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Shark hunting ehh, well that's
a new sport I've never heard of.'
[RP]:
Elithar walks over to the back of the boat.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Well come over here and I'll
show you.'
[RP]:
Elithar thinks 'I hope they don't figure out
that I'm new to this'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol shrugs. 'You two have fun... I got
to check the damage.' He clambers down below the deck again.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Hrm before we even do anything,
do any of you have spare food and drink to give me?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol yells 'Come down here and help yourself.'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Thanks, I'm worn out and dying
out there without any food or water.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He hurries to the prow, and examines the cracks in the wood.
[RP]:
Elithar picks up the rope a throws it with great power out to sea.
Tying the other end to the boat.
[RP]:
Jaerel goes inside the cabin and helps himself to the food.
[RP]:
(Elithar): As the hook hit the water, it doesn't take more then
a minute and the line tightens.
[RP]:
Elithar hollers 'COME, I NEAD SOME HELP OVER
HERE'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol slaps on more tar just in case, and returns to deck, barely
sparing the newcomer a nod.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol runs to Elithar, and looks at the taut line.
[RP]:
Elithar takes a good grip on the line and tries to pull.
[RP]:
(Jaerel): Hearing the call for help, Jaerel walks out with a half-eaten
sandwich and a tankard of ale in his hand.
[RP]:
(Elithar): The line doesn't move an inch.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol picks up the excess rope and heaves hard on it.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'What's going on over here?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The boat tips dangerously.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'COME OVER HERE AND PULL'
[RP]:
Jaerel stumbles as he tries to keep his balance.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol strains harder.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Pull? You've got a catch already?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol growls. 'What else does it look like?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol eyes the waterline warily.
[RP]:
Jaerel puts aside his sandwich and tankard and walks over to Tannol
and Elithar.
[RP]:
Jaerel examines the taut rope.
[RP]:
(Elithar): Suddenly the line SNAPS, making the boat rock.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol staggers away from the railing. 'Belar!
What was that?'
[RP]:
Jaerel stumbles again and lands hard on his bottom. 'Ouch!'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Now what happened?'
[RP]:
Jaerel rubs his sore bottom and mumbles something under his breath.
[RP]:
Elithar mutters 'The line snaped.'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Oh it did, did it?'
[RP]:
Elithar looks over at Tannol and asks: 'Got
any more rope?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol peers over the side. The sharks are in a frenzy, ripping
the meat to shreds.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
'Yeah...' Tannol mutters distractedly.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Give me the rope you're going
to use next, I'll do something to it to help out abit.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol reaches down to pick up a rope, and tosses it to the man.
'What's your name?'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Jaerel is my name, The Wandering
Mage they call me.'
[RP]:
Jaerel catches the rope in mid-air and he says those words and examines
the rope.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol raises an eyebrow. 'A mage, eh? Well
work your magicks on the rope then.'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'I sure will, if i still have
any strength left in me.'
[RP]:
Jaerel burrows his eyebrows and concentrates as he mumbles gibberish
in low tones.
[RP]:
Elithar feels a tingling in the back of his head.
[RP]:
(Jaerel): Suddenly, the rope starts shining and gives out a warm
glow. Jaerel passes it back to Tannol.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'There ya go, that should do it.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol accepts the rope suspiciously. 'If
you say so.'
[RP]:
Jaerel smiles as he looks at the rope, satisfied. 'Now
if you will allow me to finish my meal, im starving at the moment.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol nods at Jaerel.
[RP]:
Jaerel walks back into the cabin and resumes his half-eaten meal.
[RP]:
Elithar looks down at his hands.
[RP]:
Elithar thinks Nead to use gloves next time
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol rubs his hands together, rough calluses rasping softly against
each other. 'Shall we give it another go?'
[RP]:
Elithar picks up the rope and puts another piece of meat on a hook
[RP]:
Elithar looks over his shoulder, You done
with that meal, Jaerel?
[RP]:
Jaerel gives out a loud burp. 'Yeah, sure
am, that was nice.'
[RP]:
Elithar throws the hook out again.
[RP]:
Jaerel walks over to the railing and looks at the frenzy of sharks
below.
[RP]:
Elithar puts his gloves on and keeps his yes fixed on the rope.
[RP]:
(Elithar): Suddenly the rope tightens and there is a tweaking sound
but the rope hold.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol quickly grabs the rope and pulls.
[RP]:
Elithar grabs the rope and starts pulling
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Well, you're gonna have to pull
harder boy, its a big one at the other end of the line!'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol heaves and strains until his face turns red from the effort.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
This time the boat tips even more alarmingly.
[RP]:
Jaerel walks over to Elithar and Tannol and picks up the remaining
bit of rope.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'On three.'
[RP]:
Elithar says 'One... '
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Two... '
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Three, HEAVE!'
[RP]:
Jaerel struggles to pull the rope.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Hold on, let me do something
to make the shark stop resisting.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol grits his teeth, too busy concentrating on the rope to reply.
[RP]:
Elithar gives a quick nod at the mage and keeps pulling on the rope.
[RP]:
Jaerel walks over to the railing again and waves his hand. The rope
stops moving.
[RP]:
Elithar mumbles through his teeth, 'any time
now would do....'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol manages to take a few steps forwards.
[RP]:
Jaerel walks over to Tannol and Elithar and pulls on the rope.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Now, HEAVE!'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol is already heaving as hard as he can, but tries anyway.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Should...be...easier...shark's
asleep...'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Slowly, a large, grey body emerges from the water.
[RP]:
Elithar weaps some sweet of his forehead. And quickly puts his hand
back on the rope.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The tail of the shark rolls over the railing, followed by its body.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol stares at the shark, tangled in the rope. 'No
wonder it can't move.'
[RP]:
Elithar walks over to the shark.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'It's... so.... so... Big!'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol draws his knife. 'If it wakes up we're
dead.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol glances at Elithar. 'Where's its heart?
I don't want to gut the thing. It'll stink.'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Dont think it will, my sleep
spell lasts longer than a few minutes.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
'Yeah well, don't want it waking up at the
docks either. A trophy's supposed to be dead.'
[RP]:
(Jaerel): Suddenly the body of the shark twitches.
[RP]:
Elithar closes his eyes and lets his mind go over the body of the
shark.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol starts visibly.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Hrm, i guess i could be wrong'
[RP]:
Elithar points at the middle of the abdomen.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol cautiously steps towards the indicated spot, and drives the
knife home. He quickly leaps out of the way.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'There, but you gonna need a
longer knife to hit the heart'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol is swept from his feet as its tail slams into his legs, and
he falls, yelling.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Oh my, oh my! '
[RP]:
Elithar quickly runs over and drags Tannol away from the shark
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol starts cursing again.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Quick, we need a spear, something
long to stab its heart from here!'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Any of you have one?'
[RP]:
Elithar looks down at Tannol, Do you have
a pike of some kind?
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He manages to get onto his feet, and hobbles to the equipment. He
picks up a long stick with a hook on the end. 'This
is all I got.'
[RP]:
Elithar studies the stick and nods.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'This will do'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'It's gonna have to manage then.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol limps back, mouthing oaths, and growls 'What
now?'
[RP]:
(Jaerel): The shark starts jerking and twitching more violently.
[RP]:
Elithar remove thie hook in the end of the stick, gets his own dagger
from his belt.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The boat rocks from side to side, making it difficult for Tannol
to keep his weight off his bad leg.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Whatever you are going to do,
you'd better do it fast!'
[RP]:
(Elithar): Tieing the dagger to the stick, Elithar quickly jumps
away from the shark and then sees a opening and stabs the shark
hard!
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The shark thrashes, whipping the stick from Elithar's hand, and
almost gets Tannol in the head, who barely ducks in time.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol snarls 'That shark's got something
against me.'
[RP]:
(Elithar): The shark makes some last moves then lies still.
[RP]:
Jaerel, who was standing beside Tannol, realises too late before
the flying stick hits him in the head.
[RP]:
Jaerel collapses on the deck.
[RP]:
Elithar closes his eyes and lets his mind expand over the shark.
[RP]:
Elithar turns around and says 'Its dead.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol curses again, and shakes the old man. 'Wake
up!'
[RP]:
Elithar As he truns he sees Tannol shaking the old man.
[RP]:
(Elithar): As he turns he sees Tannol shaking the old man.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol grumbles as he tries to get up, and is forced to use the
ladder to help himself up.
[RP]:
Elithar hurries over to the men.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'What happened to him?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol replies 'Stick got him in the head.'
[RP]:
Elithar mumbles something under his breath.
[RP]:
Elithar starts running down below, 'You got
any turpentine around here?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol yell 'Yeah. Look in the small cabinet.'
He winces and sits down next to the unconscious Jaerel.
[RP]:
(Jaerel): As Tannol sits down, Jaerel begins to stir and regains
consciousness
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol watches Jaerel stir and breathes a sigh of relief. 'It's
ok Elithar! He's coming around!'
[RP]:
Jaerel mumbles 'What happened here?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
'The shark was thrashing around, and the stick
got you in the head.'
[RP]:
Jaerel winces in agony, 'Owww, my head...'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'My head feels as if a Gandaharan
elephants stepped on it...'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol laughs.
[RP]:
Jaerel looks around, glancing first at Tannol, then staring at the
huge beast at the foot of the deck.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Is it dead yet?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol nods wearily.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol sighs. 'Time to get back to shore.'
[RP]:
Jaerel breathes a sigh of relief. 'Where is
the other guy?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol glances at the hatch. 'Down below I
think.'
[RP]:
Jaerel struggles to get up. 'Owwww...My head
weighs a ton'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol grins. 'Need some floats? I don't want
my boat to sink 'cause of you.'
[RP]:
Jaerel gives up at his attempt to stand up and slumps back down.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Heh, what a time to get cheeky...'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol grimaces as he gingerly massages his leg. 'Well,
best not let Elithar steer the boat. Last time he did he ran us
into a reef... We didn't hit it head on, fortunately.'
[RP]:
Jaerel grumbles, 'And I thought your boat
was better, didnt think about the people manning it..'
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'Oooo my head... I'm going to
rest for awhile..'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol chuckles. 'Oh, I can do it all right,
just that I rather not let him get near the rigging.' He
stands up, wincing, and tests the wind. 'Great.
A nice mild breeze bringing us back home.' He glances at
the setting sun.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
He hobbles to the rigging and looses the boom and raises the sail.
He ducks as the boom swings over his head, and locks the pulley
again.
[RP]:
Elithar comes up from below.
[RP]:
Elithar says 'You guys alright?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol winds the rope, pulling up the anchor, and the boat starts
moving back towards the shore.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'I'm rather put out at the moment.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol nods. 'Just will need to hobble around.'
[RP]:
Elithar starts walking towards the wheel.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol calls out 'Best not run us into another
reef, or the wood might splinter this time.'
[RP]:
Elithar says 'Right... so now the needle should
point at N E right?'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol nods.
[RP]:
Jaerel says 'The evening sky looks so beautiful
and peaceful.. Mind you guys wake me up when we reach the shore...'
[RP]:
Elithar smiless 'You just rest my friend.
I'll wake you.'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol limps his way to the wheel, scanning the waters ahead worriedly.
[RP]:
Jaerel smiles to himself as he closes his eyes and goes into slumber.
[RP]:
(Elithar): The waves rock the boat and the old mages is soon sound
asleep.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
'Steer slightly to your right... there's a
reef there.'
[RP]:
Elithar truns the wheel slightly and nods.
[RP]:
(Elithar): As the boat enters the harbur Elithar looks up at Tannol,
You better that the wheel in here.
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol quickly lowers the sail and hobbles to the wheel, steering
the boat. He gives his boy a wave. 'We got
a shark! A massive one!'
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
The boy's eyes widen. 'Really?' 'Hush,
boy. Let's keep it quiet for today. This old man's tired.'
[RP]:
Elithar cashes a rope from the boy and ties it to the boat.
[RP]:
(Elithar): Jumping ashore Elithar turns to Tannol Shall
we say you keep the fish as payment?
[RP]:
(Fieron Raines):
Tannol laughs and nods. 'Yes, why not? Oh,
and what to do with Jaerel?'
[RP]:
Elithar smiles 'I'll take him with me back
to Sendar.'
