Cullyn joining Adventurers
This is the story about Cullyn’s first 18 years.
Cullyn was born in the fair city Tol Honeth. His father and mother had a store in this town. They were not poor or wealthy, they had a little more than average so they lived well enough. The house they lived in looked more like a castle - square with a yard in the middle. The main house was at the end of this yard and there were also smaller buildings around it. Two of those building they had were stores, his mother and sister took care selling clothes, sewed for people etc.
His father was a smithy and made both armour and weapons, and also small fine mechanic stuff. If someone asked, he helped them to shoe their horses too but that was not his main thing. He took a pride in his art of making weapons/armours. Fine daggers with jewel stuff in it for rich women, nice sharp ebon hilted rapiers for young spoiled men.
Cullyn were always helping his father as much as he could, but at the age of 14 he wanted to join the famous Legionnaires of Tol Honeth. He started as a pupil, taking care of the stables and in his spare time learned how to use swords and shield in the practice yard. His mentor was a well known sergeant who has been in duty for over 35 years.
At age of 16 he at last became a soldier and trained more frequently and became a very good swordsman, but also studied some small art of magic. At the time he was closing into his 18th birthday he became kind of restless, wanted to see the world and such, yeah you understand what I mean.
He said farewell to his family, also as soldier (for a while at least). Packing a backpack with stuff he needed, he went out of the gates and stood there thinking of where he should go. South past Tol Borune were just the Jungles of Nyissa and they had a bad reputation, and far to the east were evil Grolims living so he decided to walk north.
On the road he meet a lot of travellers, who was walking/riding down to Tol Honeth to trade stuff, buy things etc. Some of them didn’t even look at him but some said hello and even a few wanted to ask him stuff or tell him things. These conversations gave him some hints and ideas on his way and he decided to have as first goal to go to Vo Wacune. He had decided to stop on some farms on his way and offered to help them repair stuff for payment he charged a bed and food.

After some days I was closing in on a big forest of Arendia. When I got into the forest I noticed it was very silent. No bird song, nothing. And suddenly some men jumped out from the forest surrounding me, I counted them to seven men. ****! What was I supposed to do? This was too many for one man. But after a few minutes of bragging they were about to close in on me.
And again very sudden a man had sneaked his way up behind the bandits, knocking out the others hesitated and I jumped on one of the closest hit him hard and then the fight was going.
It didn’t take long for us two to win this fight. The new guy was pretty good with his stave.
After the fight he walked up to me and I introduced myself and he told me his name was Tyron.
I told him I was on my way top the north and since he just came from the north he guided me to Vo Wacune, we found an inn The Golden Ale. That evening something happened to my plans. We overheard a conversation by some half drunk guys about a clan for adventurers.
The name was also Adventures and was located in Camaar. The next day we went to Camaar filled with expectations, and since this clan was so well known it wasn’t hard to find it. We walked into there clan entrance and did meet a member of the clan. He welcomed us and we sat down on a bench and talked, after a little while we told him that we wanted to join this fair clan and try to become both better and wiser. It took a couple of days before we got our answer and they welcomed us for a trial period.

Apprentice
The first time in Adventurers I tried to learn about the place, exploring the place. They gave Tyron and me time to settle down and find our beds. Next day, Urmela, who is the clan leader told us who our teacher and mentors would be. Tyron got his own teachers since he was interesting in the art of healing. For myself I was more interested in the art of weapons and some offensive magic. Wylset who is the clan guru of magic was supposed to teach me how to use some minor magic in a battle. I’m not the best learner but I managed to pick some small stuff up. I had more fun to practice how to use my swords, parry and avoid hits. That was more fun, so if it wasn’t for
Wylset I probably wouldn’t learn myself any magic at all. Some of the days me and Tyron tried to go out on our own to see if we could test out the things we learned, some times it went good but some times it was hard.
After weeks of training I got my first assignment. A sunny morning Qethia woke me up and told me to get dressed and follow him out. We did head out early and most of the city was silent. He took me to the city Sendar were we did meet a guy who told us he needed help. It took me some days to make this quest and I failed -sob-. But it gave me some experience as exploring the county and a chance to show my power in sword fencing. But I won’t give up, I will learn how to find and where to go.
