The beginning | The time has come | The Age of the West has Come! | The beginning | The question

The beginning
It was a warm spring day. The birds were chirping, the deer were running through the forest, and a little Asturian boy was swimming in the same stream he had swam in his entire life. All of a sudden the sky became black as night.
The air became a bone chilling cold. The boy could tell something was wrong. He quickly got out of the stream and made his way back to his house. As he came into sight of his village, what he saw was like a scene from a nightmare. His town was a blaze and the ground was littered with corpses.
As he ran into the village he saw a group of Murgos surrounding a single man. As he got closer he realized it was his father. Before he could reach them he saw one of the Murgos slash his father across the chest, then cut off his head. The boy shrieked. The group of Murgos spun around to see a boy of no more than 6 running at then with a dagger in his hand. The boy through the dagger into the throat of one of the men killing him instantly.
Before he could think, the Murgo who had killed his father sliced him across the face with his sword. The child dropped to the ground. After what seemed like eons the boy came to. The Murgos had left him for dead.
As he stood up he saw the carnage which had engulfed his village. Nothing was left but a huge circle of dead bodies. But the boy did not weep. Instead he sat there, for how long he couldn’t tell.
But when he finally got up something had changed. The color had vanished from his eyes and all that was left was a black nothingness. With his mind set on revenge he left his village behind to go and find the men who were responsible for this. When he finally did find them he wasn’t even sure what he would do. All he knew was that he would leave no one alive.

The time has come
It was a cold winter night. The wind was howling through the streets of Boktor. Men were sitting inside the local tavern trying to stay warm. All of a sudden a man in a long black cloak comes walking through the doors and takes a seat towards the back of the room. He motions for the bartender to come over and orders a drink.
As he sits and waits for his beverage he pulls out a piece of parchment. He begins to write on it. After a few moments, the bartender returns with his drink. The man pays the bartender and downs the entire tankard in one gulp. He stands up and walks towards the door.
With a seemingly effortless flick of his wrists he throws the piece of parchment into the air and sends a small steel dagger flying through it, pinning it against the far wall. Without even looking back the man walks out of the tavern. One of the men sitting at a table across the room stood up and walked over to the wall where the parchment was stuck too.
It read,
"The time has come for us to gather our forces. The East has grown too strong. It is time we scattered them back to the putrid wasteland they came from. Tonight at the docks, be there if you have what it takes."

The Age of the West has Come!
It was a beautiful spring day. People were scurrying all about inside halls of the Guardians keep. Naraj was sitting in his room going over some important documents that had just come from Cherek. Larelan had finally returned from his journey to Drasnia and Garek had returned just the other day. Jorath and Ebelle were due to arrive back within the week, hopefully with pleasant tidings from Arendia. Naraj could hear the sounds of steel meeting steel, coming from the training yard. Teldran was hard at work, attempting to teach the younger ones the finer points of the sword. Agthrak could be heard preaching the word of Belar to all sat in the foyer of the hall. The western lands prospered and Naraj new the time had finally come for the West to once again stand victorious over the barren lands of the East.

The beginning
Naraj was walking down a corridor within the Guardians keep, thinking to himself about the days long gone. He found himself wandering onto a balcony that over looked the training yard. As he looked down at the people training, he noticed a small girl sitting in the corner sulking.
A smiled crossed his face. It was Frelda. He did not know what it was about her that made him get week in the knees every time he saw her. He knew he could not hide these feelings for very long. He would have to let Frelda know about how he felt. He thought to himself about how easy it would be for him to be happy spending the rest of his life with her.

The Question?
Naraj walked into the practice yard where everyone was training. He walked up to Frelda and said, "Good morning beautiful. How are you doing today?" Frelda replied, "I am fine my Lord. What brings a question to ask you. Please follow me to the courtyard." He took Frelda's hand and lead her out of the practice yard. They walked down a long hallway that brought them out into the center of the courtyard. Naraj got down onto one knee and said, " "I have only known you for a little while, but the time we have spent together has been magical. Every minute I am with you I feel like I am floating on air. The times when I am not with you, I feel like a dagger has been pushed deep into my stomache and is twisting around inside of me. I don’t know what my life would be like without you in it. Will you do me the honor of being my wife?" Naraj knelt there looking deep into Frelda's eyes, awating a response.
