THIS IS ONLY A TEST.

AND WHERE TO GO.

Testing...testing. This is my HTML Test Page.

Welcome. Did you bring beer? Please note that some of the elements here might not work. Also, sorry that this page seems to load slowly at 28.8. It's part of my experiement in deciding what kinds of code and what sorts of image conditions allow for faster loads than others. Fer instance, lots of table definitions seems to slow things down, and non-flattened, non-downsampled images take even longer.

And now, for a little dedication to something other than the 944, which this site celebrates:

Below is a picture of my pal and buddy for 13 years. He's outlasted three states, a string of corporate and startup jobs, layoffs, plant closings, and both friendly and hostile corporate takeovers. He's outlasted houses I've lived in, women I've known, friends I've made and lost contact with over the years of moving around. But Bandit was always, always there. He more than loved me, this cat absolutely adored me. Well......I adored him, too.

Bandit, aka under various nicknames as BandyCat, Plasticat, Boo-Boo, and The Hooshooboodie

Bandit jumped in my lap one night as he always did. I was at the computer. He looked at me and meowed. I petted him and he arched his back in response, as always, but quickly hopped off. Only later did I realize it would be for the last time, and that he had just said goodbye. He then went outside through the open window I kept for the cats. It was late March, 1997.

I searched the woods and fields everyday for the next two weeks, and never found a trace of him. I loved you, good friend, and while I will never peer into those beautiful green eyes again, I shall always remember you, your antics, and your love for me.
