~ Salsa Beida Bel Bahreez ~

This sauce is excellent for use with vegetables and seafood.
~ Ingredients ~
Melt butter over medium heat. Remove from heat and add flour, pepper and garlic if used.
Stir very well with wooden spoon to prevent lumps. Return to heat and keep stirring
for 4-5 minutes. Remove from heat and add broth beating well. Return to low heat until
flour is cooked, approx. 10-15 minutes. Remove from heat and season with salt. If too thick, you can dilute it with some broth.
Use as directed.
2 cups broth
2 tbsp shortening
2 tbsp all-purpose flour
salt & pepper to taste
1 clove garlic (optional)
Yields 2 cups.
