Use this sauce with icecream or fresh fruits with nuts. Also great for pie topping and glazing.
~ Ingredients ~
Put sugar and lemon juice in a saucepan and place over medium heat and bring to boil. Leave on medium heat until golden
brown. Remove from heat and add to sweet solution and beat very well. Return to
heat and bring to boil. Add diluted corn starch beat well. Return to low heat and bring to boil again while stirring.
Add vanilla. Sieve and serve warm.
3 tbsp granulated sugar diluted in 1 cup water to form a sweet solution
1 tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp lemon juice
1 tsp corn starch diluted in some cold water
vanilla essence
Yields 1 cup.
