Use this sauce with pies, cakes or brownies.
~ Ingredients ~
Heat half the butter on medium heat. Add flour and keep stirring until golden. Add milk gradually, beating well
after each addition. Keep stirring until sauce thickens. Cut remaining butter in small cubes
and add one by one to sauce, stirring all the time. Add sugar and stir until it dissolves.
Remove from heat and add vanilla. Use as directed in recipes. Serve warm.
30 g unsalted butter
1 cup milk
1 ½ tbsp granulated sugar
1 tsp all-purpose-flour
½ tsp vanilla essence
Yields 1 cup.
