The sisters function is to feed the Motoman with raw material for the handle and with the premachined cylinder. All three of the magazines are leaning in an angle somwere around 35 degrees in order to let the gravity force do the feeding. At the front of the magazine some material has been cut out, in order to make it easier for the robot to grab the parts. The cylinder magazine will work as a possitioner as well as a magazine. As you can see, there is an angle on the left side of the magazine which will make sure that the cylinder is correctly possitioned when the Motoman robot comes in to grab it.
The two others, for black and white raw material, of the three sisters just have flat sides. If the dimensions of the pump are changed, all of the sisters are easy to adjust due to the groves in the magazine bottom. This is done by loosening the screw and manuelly moving one of the sides. The sisters are all made in 2 mm sheet-metal.
Althuogh this kind of magazines are rather simple they have worked completely without any fault during our production.
