The effects of piracy… Some violators feel, working alone, they couldn't effect the software's publishers because of the size and the financial success of the of the company. The costs of piracy are often reflected back on consumers in the form of higher prices. If a lot of computer users pirated software incentive for individuals to be innovative and to create newer and better software would be immensely reduced because they might fear that their work might not protected. Without protection the profit motive can be highly weakened. Software companies may feel little incentive to expend the essential recourses to develop new and innovative products.
