When a funfair came to our town, it followed very heavy rain. Knowing how wet and muddy the field could be, I went down to have a look, wearing my Adidas Quito Team Astro-Turf Trainers. Sure enough, with all the people walking around on it, it became a mudbath, and the mud was very wet and sticky.
It was a great sight! Some people (normally parents) were trying in vain to pick their way around the mud, others (normally children) were enjoying getting their trainers as muddy as they could. Many were stomping around in the mud as deep as they could, often with white (yes, really) Adidas break-pants dragging along the mud.
There were many examples of white Reebok 'Classics' and Fila 'EuroJogger' trainers turning dark brown. However some people came prepared, wearing wellies (wellington boots), so they could get as muddy as they wanted!
