The Munster Co-operative Nursery
School follows the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board
school year, including Christmas and mid-winter
breaks. The school runs from the first day of
elementary school in September to last day of elementary
school in June.

2 Year Old Program
The
2 year old program is offered to children who are 18
months by September 1ST, and is run once a week on Friday
mornings from 9:30 to 11:30 am. The enrolment in
this program is limited to 8 children.
3 Year Old Program
The
3 year old program is offered to children who are age 3
before December 31 and is run four mornings a week -
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 9:15 to
11:45 am. The child may be enrolled for 1 to 4 days
in this program according to the parents
wishes. The enrolment in this program is limited to
12 children per day.
3 and 4 Year Old
Program
The
3 and 4 year old program is composed of both 3 and 4 year
olds and is available to children who are at least age 3
before December 31 and is run four afternoons a week
Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 1:15
to 3:45 pm. The child may be enrolled for 1 to 4
days in this program according to the parents
wishes. The enrolment in this program is limited to 12
children per day.
Lunch Program
This
program is composed of a supervised lunch hour for
children in the morning or afternoon program as outlined
above. Available on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and
Thursday. Children can be enrolled for 1 to 4 days
a week according to the parents wishes. This
program is ideal for children who already participate in
Junior Kindergarten.

Circle
Where we greet one another with a song, update
our calendar and share news.
Free
Play
Which includes: Dramatic Play, Sensory
Play (sand, water, playdough, etc.), Manipulatives
(blocks, train sets, cars), Gross Motor (gym, circle
activities), Basket Activities (science, math, fine
motor, language), Computers, Books, Puzzles, Social
Studies, Arts and Crafts.
The
Children will be encouraged to clean up as they
play. During the transition from Free Play to
Circle we will complete an overall tidy of the room.
Washroom Children are able to
use the washroom as needed. They will be assisted
if necessary and reminded to wash hands and flush
toilets. Children who are still learning to use the
washroom will be supported and encouraged.
Snack Time A nutritious snack
provided in co-operation with the duty parent.
Circle Time Developing
listening skills to enjoy stories, music, sounds and
games.
Outdoor Play Encouraging
self-dressing, this time is for running and playing in an
enclosed play area with a play structure and a shed full
of outdoor toys.
