College bi-sexual leaves club after woman hits on her

Sheila Quinlan, a NUIG student who describes herself as a crazy, fun-loving, up-for-anything bi-sexual, left the GPO night-club suddenly last Wednesday night after reports indicate she was hit on by another woman.

The unnamed woman, described by Sheila's friend Deirdre as being pretty, with short hair and a nose ring, was said to have struck up a conversation with Sheila at the bar in the Drum section of the nightclub. "I'm not really too sure what they were talking about, it was crazy packed in there. I think that the girl suggested something about Sheila going back to a part with her. It was when she touched Sheila's arm lightly that she got panicky. Sheila just turned away and made a face across the bar at me before dragging me out of the club."

Sheila, a second year Arts student, is a regular at clubs such as Strange Brew, 091 and 110th Street and has made her bi-sexuality pretty well known, especially to boys she fancies. "Yeah Sheila's always talking about how she's into girls," said class-mate and rugby player John Brennan. "I remember the night we hooked up she was out in the Warwick and started snogging one of her cute mates in front of me so naturally I got pretty interested."

On her own sexuality, Sheila is on record as saying, "Oh yeah I love girls as well as guys. They're so gorgeous and smell great. I've been with loads of girls but y'know, like, nothing below the waist or anything. What? No. I wouldn't actually go out with a girl. No."

Deirdre has on many occasions found herself having to stand up for her friend. "Yeah, some people don't really like the way Sheila acts. She's been called, what was it again? Oh yeah... 'An attention whore who plays up to FHM-style male fantasises because her own personality isn't enough to attract a man.' I just think they're just homophobic though or jealous."
