George Bush's feeding tube to be removed

The Supreme Court in America has decided that President Bush is to have his feeding tube removed. The move is seen as an attempt to restore world peace.

President Bush has been in a persistent vegetative state since 2000. Commenting on the latest developments, Condoleeza Rice added that it would take approximately two agonising weeks for Bush to finally pass away. The statement was met with jubilation on the streets of both Baghdad and New York.

The decision to remove the tube also puts paid to the new joint campaign by Trocaire, Concern and Goal. The three charities had planned to pool their resources to hire a hit-man to assassinate President Bush.

Bernie Gibney of Concern said, "We are sick of relentlessly funding projects in Sudan, Ethiopia and Kenya only to find that our efforts are undermined by the huge debt service that each country has to pay. The easiest thing to do is to tackle the root of the problem, with a high powered rifle and a steady aim."

Today's events may render that course of action unnecessary.
