have found this humble dwelling, a place of sanctuary from those who wish to harm you. This is Alexandria by Night, holding the 'Club Macabre`' on its coastal line, which is well maintained and strictly guarded. 
For Kindred Alexandria has is all, a hefty tourist trade to 
snack on, ancient tombs and mysterious secrets, catacombs, mortal 
wealth and the gateway to Egypt. Many come into this place by night, though less by day.

Dark and mysterious beings? Come now, do not tell me you are that naive, not after hearing the name of the club. Perhaps you have not merely come into contact with those that frequent this lovely Club at night. No matter. You will soon enough. Many are mysterious beings, fond of shadows and darkness. Not just because it is easier on the eyes, but because it is concealing.

What? You do not think darkness is a good thing? Then perhaps you would be better off sticking to the lighted areas in Alexandria or the Club and stay at home with locked doors. 
Despite the Club's commonplace appearance there are many secrets hidden. The lighted areas are safer than the shadowy ones. Only the elements know what lurks within those dark depths. It would not do to have new guests vanishing without a trace. No, not at all. So, please. Stick to the lighted areas - at least for now. Perhaps when you know the Patrons better, it might interest you to delve into the secrets hidden within . . .

The second largest city in Egypt, Alexandria has an atmosphere that is more Mediterranean than Middle Eastern; its ambiance and cultural heritage distance it from the rest of the country although it is only 225 km. from Cairo.

Founded by Alexander the Great in 331 B.C., Alexandria became the capital of Graeco-Roman Egypt; its status as a beacon of culture is symbolized by Pharos, the legendry lighthouse that was one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The setting for the stormy relationship between Cleopatra and Mark Antony, Alexandria was also the center of learning in the ancient world. Though since the 19th century Alexandria has played a new role, for many....

Who frequents here? Ahhhhhhhhhh. A very good question. The answer is everyone and no one. Yes, a very cryptic answer, but truly, the only one that fits. Spend one night in the Club and you will understand completely. If you are still curious about those to whom the Club is very familiar, travel down this path.

This is a partially free form role playing channel. Despite the lovely words above we do need sheets to ensure fairness to all players, though it is merely a game and dice are not enforced but there for use. The author has a certain - dark sense of humor, so do cut her a little slack. The game is played upon IRC - Internet Relay Chat. It is found upon the DarkMyst Random Servers, in the channel #Alexandria_by_Night. Ops (Operators) and helpers are to be obeyed at all times. Ops have a nifty @ next to their name. Helpers have a + next to theirs. They are to be obeyed as the Ops and helpers, have the same authority within the channel. The ops and the helpers are the ones to direct your questions to. They have all the answers about the channel. In that sense, they are omnipotent and omniscient. Don't argue about the small things. You won't win. You can pick up an IRC client at mIRC or you can also connect to us, to check our channel out over Java chat. Quite a few of the players use mIRC and swear by it. Very user friendly and comes with a help file. That is about it for the words of caution. Come on by and check the channel out.
