Each emblem has three levels and a wide variety of challenges:

The Pathfinder program also includes a Be Prepared emblem with segments related to the other emblems.
Pathfinders are responsible for a large part of the planning for their units, and often plan and carry out special events, trips, camps, and environmental or service projects.
Pathfinders use the Guide Promise, Law and Motto
The Guide Promise
I promise to do my best,
To be true to myself, my God/faith* and Canada;
I will help others,
And accept the Guiding Law.
* Guides choose to say either God or faith when repeating their Promise, according to their personal beliefs.

The Guiding Law challenges me to:
