Cadets |
Spend most of their time learning about and practising leadership in Guiding. The Cadet program involves hands-on work in Spark, Brownie, Guide, and Pathfinder Units. Cadets work with younger girls of many different age levels and units. |
Junior Leaders |
Work hands-on as part of the leadership team in a single unit. They concentrate on leadership skills which apply to leading the girls of the age group they have chosen to work with. |
Rangers |
Have regular meetings with other Rangers to plan and carry out their program. The goal of Rangering in Canada is "to provide opportunities to challenge young women to develop self-confidence and their own potential as individuals, and to contribute to the future of their community." |
All Cadets, Junior Leaders and Rangers make the Guide Promise when they are enrolled.
The Guide Promise
I promise to do my best,
To be true to myself, my God/faith* and Canada;
I will help others,
And accept the Guiding Law.
* Guides choose to say either God or faith when repeating their Promise, according to their personal beliefs.
The Guide Law
The Guiding Law challenges me to:
