"KOTA KINABALU, Fri. - The renowned wedding specialist team of Shrangri-La's Tanjung Aru's Resort (STAR) once again showed their prowess in creating a memorable wedding for Alice Lee, a local from Inanam who married South African Peter Swanpoel at the resort's beach front recently with Borneo's spectacular sunset as the backdrop.
The ceremony started with an attractive decorated buggy complete with a uniformed driver escorting the bride to her groom who was waiting by the Sunset Beach. The solemnization of the wedding was witnessed by some 50 of the couples' family, friends and the resort's guests.
The couple then left the beach for their reception at the Gazebo with cheers and clappings throughout their ride from the thrilled crowd.
Sounds from the trailing empty cans tied to the buggy with a "Just Married" sign attracted even more excited onlookers.
It was the perfect setting made specially for the happy couple, said a very satisfied director of catering and meeting service, Susanna Yong.
