Good evening Rabbi and Mrs. Perez, Saba and Safta, ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Sorry about that Mrs. Wood told me I had to speak slowly. Welcome to Tal's Batmitzvah. I'm your M.C. for this evening, which, for those of you who don't know, means Microphone Controler. I have been awaiting this day for a long time because I finally get to run the show and no one can tell me to be quiet! Did you know that man was created first so that he had a chance to say something?
Ladies and gentlemen, for those of you who wish to wash your hands, the stations are (direct them with your hands). Following the washing Rabbi Perez will say the hamotzi.

The (on tray) Entrée is now being served

I'd like to tell you a story about my grandfather. After their latest trip, Tal asked, "Was Grandpa mad when they went through his luggage at customs?" "Not in the least", replied my grandmother. They found his glasses that he'd lost two weeks earlier." Seriously, we are very lucky to have our grandparents from Israel with us tonight. Our grandparents are very special to us. Because of their regular visits, they are really a part of our family. They do so much for Tal and I, as well as, mum and dad. It is great that they can be so much a part of everything we do. Even in grade 2 when I was learning about China, they decided to take us on a trip so I could see China first-hand and not just in books and pictures. Now, that's some school excursion! Thank you , Saba and Safta. I'm afraid that now I'll have to give up the mike for a moment or two while I invite my Saba to come and speak his words of wisdom.
Band plays Machar.
Thank you, Saba.
Natalie Boas and Rebecca Scheinberg are just two of Tal's many friends. They have a message for Tal.
Two girls speech
Thank you, girls.
Last, but definitely, not least, Natalie Whelan would like to say a few words. Remember, Nat, drive slowly.

If any of you noticed my dad at Tal's Batmitzvah ceremony, you would have seen that he was very emotional. I'm not sure how he is going to get through his speech but I'll help him out. And to lighten the mood even further, I'll tell another story. Anytime you see a young man open a car door for his girlfriend, either the car is new or the girlfriend is. Tal and I are lucky to have such hard-working and caring parents. I'd now like to call on Aba to say a few words ( and I mean few!).
Thank you, Aba.
Guess what? It's my turn to do a speech!
Well, the moment we have been waiting for. The Batmitzvah girl!!! But first, a story. An excited woman called her husband at work. "I won the lottery!" she exclaimed. "Pack your clothes!" "Great!" he replied. " Summer or winter?" " All of them- I want you out of the house by six!" I think Tal will have to win the lottery to continue living the lifestyle she has grown accustomed to. Ladies and gentlemen, my sister, Tal.
Thank you, Tal. Well, folks, that's it - that's all for the formalities. Please enjoy some more dancing before dessert and coffee is served in approximately half an hour.
