Band history

Greg Samijlenko was born on August 3rd 1978. At the age of 8 he began formal training on the piano. At the age of 11 he joined a boys choir where he recieved his first taste of intensive vocal training. At the age of 12 he started playing the trumpet in the school band and also taking private lessons. At the age of 13 he began playing a Ukrainian string instrument called the Bandura. This took him to intensive summer music camps where he recieved further vocal training. At the age of 19 he began playing the bass guitar, and soon after joined with Overture guitarist Marc Miller to form their first band Vintage 78.  Being the vocalist and bass guitar player, he began to acquire experience in metal/rock singing. The last member to join Overture in mid October 2000, Greg is the primary vocalist in the band.
