I don't really know much about this production except that it opened in Sydney in around 1981, before completing an extremely succesful tour around Australia, under the Sydney Theatre Company. Subsequentially a cast album was produced with the same track listing as the Original Broadway - which is cool to have an Aussie recording(just wish they had made one for the revival cast). This original production was not choreographed by Bob Fosse, but seems to be very similer. Read a review of the 1981 cast Cd

I personally love this recording, though others have said it is too 'cartoony'. I love Geraldines rendition of All that Jazz, and Nancye Hayes is fabulous as Roxie. The highlight is Judi Connelli as Mama morton - she is the best by far (and the critics agree!) from all the recordings I've heard.
The let down on this Cd is Terrence Donavan as Billy, he just doesn't work!
