    Central Australia:

    • Just right after Queensland I landed in Central Australia. I found the desert air different and the water was scarce even more than whenever before in my life. Also the Wind was strong and Cold dropping temperature to - 6 at the nights, but the most back kick of all was biker’s unfriendly legislation, which almost undermined my plans.

  • Despite all, I have made my way to the Kings Canyon and Uluru in 9 days as was planned. It was commercial place, but I have seen it in the different way, special way which most of the people will never understand. I was riding over 800km, against the wind, burned by sun, frozen by night, eaten by flies, carrying all supply and water with me finally to see one bloody red stone.

  • Funny? It was my effort. Did you get the point? No? Stay in your artificial environment, car or comfortable house bored and lazy. That's the best place for you to be rotting away. You belong to that world, neither do I.

High Country
  • In the order to catch a glimpse of Aussie high country I made a loop trip starting in Canberra, reaching Khancoban in the most western point and Thredbo in the most southern point and Berridale in the most eastern point getting back to Canberra through rolling hills of Namadgi n.p.

  • Most of the tour was on the bitumen road. However I have done my longest 30km gravel road bicycle ascent to the snowy mountains high plato in 2000m above see level. Signs informing passers that the temperature can drop to -30 left me starring unbelieved and happy being in the clouds and mist much more warmer.

  • Following 5km drop to the valley of Yarrangobilly caves had given me even chance to warm up from freezing feeling in 24 C warm water of theirs mineral springs all the year round. Those just examples of what the snowy mountains can offer to the passers by. But getting around on the saddle watch out, there are not to many flat sections. Ups and downs are to be expected with hot summer day down in the valleys and freezing, windy or even snowy winter day in the passes or saddles.

Flinders ranges "my last trip"

  • Recently I have travelled to the Flinders Ranges, which are mountains in the South Australia. I might say I have seen one of the very best this country can offer to me.

  • I have combined bike riding and trekking through the rugged hills, pastoral plains, abounded private lands, salt lakes, countless gorges all the way to the Gammon Ranges said to be North Flinders ranges which already inspired so many people. So did it to me. Perhaps they will do so to you also, at least you can catch a glimpse of the beauty lying just down there in the oldest mountains all over the world, on my photos. By time I publish some of them on my websites.
