Left Pocket Area
This diagram shows the placement
of awards and emblems on the left pocket.
- World Crest: is worn by
all Scouts and Leaders to signify membership of our program in the World
Scouting Movement. This patch shows our brotherhood with millions of Scouts
around the world.
- Service Star: are given
to Scouts and Leaders during the Blue and Gold banquet to recognize their
participation in Scouting. Tiger Cubs receive a 1-year star with an orange
backing. Cub Scouts receive the appropriate year star on a yellow background.
Leaders receive the appropriate year star on a blue background.
- Square Knot(s): such as
the Religious Award.
- Attendance Award: is
given to Scouts who attend all regular scheduled Den Meetings and Pack
Meetings during the year (September through August). The first year they
accomplish this they will receive the pin and the 1-year bar. During
subsequent years of achievement they will receive the 2-year bar, 3-year bar,
etc. to hang from the pin.
- Rank Badges: include
Tiger, Bobcat, Wolf, Bear, Webelos and Arrow of Light. These ranks are awarded
to Scouts once they have completed the requirements of each badge.
- Arrow Points: are given
to Wolf and Bear Scouts after they have completed the requirements for the
appropriate rank badge. The gold arrow point is awarded for the first 10
electives the Scout completes from their rank book. A silver arrow point is
awarded for each group of 10 subsequent electives the Scout completes.
