Whittling Chip Information

This page provides links to information on how to conduct a knife safety instruction course. Once accomplished, the cub scouts in your den may earn their whittling chip card which allows them to use a knife in a supervised setting at cub scout activities.

Knife Safety Instructor Guide for Bear Cubs - This is an outline document which describes the material a cub scout leader should cover as part of a knife safety course.

Pocketknife Pledge and Test - This document contains a pledge that the cub scout can fill out showing he knows how to properly handle and use a knife. There's also a short quiz.
