The Adventures of Paisley Blue

Today I am having trouble concentrating, feeling overemotional, and I know why. We have had a terribly difficult time finding things to eat. Yesterday at lunch I went to the wall where Wisdom works handing out food to the homeless. I got a free sack lunch for myself and for Mechanic. I ate a couple sandwiches and one bag of chips at work, and took the rest home. Those sandwiches and chips were all we ate yesterday.

So far today I have not had anything to eat. I took my medicine anyway, though, because I thought I was going to get a reimbursement check today. This morning I called accounting and found out that I won't get the check until next Friday. I burst into tears when she told me that. I had been so looking forward to cashing it, and getting something to eat.

Normally I don't think I would cry over something like this. However, I believe taking my meds and not eating has made my blood sugar so out of whack that there's no telling what I'm likely to do today.

Finally I worked up the nerve to ask a coworker for a $20 loan til payday. Turns out she doesn't carry cash, but she offered to buy me lunch. I gladly accepted.

Michael took off Wednesday afternoon to stay with a drag queen friend of his. This friend is taking him to Salt Lake City for a week. I think he's pretty lucky to have an adventure like this, but I'm still upset with how he left, and the fact that he lied to me before doing so. Since he's been gone Mechanic and I have enjoyed having the apartment to ourselves.

Michael has a new boyfriend who has parents who are loaded. The first day they met, they spent 8 hours together, and he spent over $300 on Michael -- piercings, eating out, jewelry, and a DVD player. Earlier today Michael told me that this kid had bought him a necklace and earrings to wear while in drag, and a ring with a topaz stone surrounded by diamonds. He said that when he returns from Salt Lake City, he'll probably be getting a 1991 Cadillac.

What I found sad is that after that first date, Michael didn't have a lot of good to say about this young man. He was unfortunately quite slow in the thinking before he spoke department. He just didn't seem to be quite up to speed. People were laughing and making jokes about him, and Michael kept saying there was no way this guy was gonna be his boyfriend. Yet, later, when asked if he would see this guy again, Michael admitted he probably would. Now I know he has... and has accepted even more gifts from him.

Looks like Michael finally found his sugardaddy.
