It was Sunday, and each team went to a different church to do our drama and fellowship with the believers. We found out how a typical Ecuador church service went.
First, everyone in the church would sing for about thirty minutes. This was to give time for everyone to arrive. Then, the actually service started with thirty minutes of more singing! I absolutely loved it! I can think of very few things I would rather do than spend an hour praising the Lord in song. How much more precious it was knowing that I probably never would be there singing with those believers again until Heaven!
After the singing, we were warmly welcomed. We did our drama. I was touched by the believers excitement at the part in the play when Jesus rose again. People began cheering and clapping. It gave me chills to see their love for God. I was also struck with the thought, "How often do we respond to God's miracles like that? Where is our enthusiasm, our passion?" The Ecuador believers challenged me without ever knowing it. What a pleasure spending time with the believers was!
Then, I was surprised again. The believers had worked on a drama just for us! At the end, they gave all the girls roses. And, my favorite part, we finished our Sunday service with communion.
Back at the hotel, we had EIEIO-K (Everything I Ever Intended On Knowing). They were seminars given by different leaders.
By the end of the day, I felt so blessed to be part of the body of Christ. It is so beautiful to worship the Lord with fellow brothers and sisters! I am reminded of a song:
|
Hallelujah, Hallelujah, Hallelujah, to the Lamb Hallelujah, Hallelujah, by the Blood of Christ we stand Every tribe, every tongue, every people, every land Giving honor, giving glory, giving praise unto the Lamb of God |
