We spent the morning painting and weeding a church. I began working at weeding with a group of other people, only to find my work constantly interrupted by people needing help translating. At first I felt like I was not being very helpful. Everyone else was working and I was talking! But, once again, I was reminded that God has different jobs for everyone.
That was true on my mission trip and is true in life! God had me on the Ecuador trip for a special reason, to be a helper. It was not in the way I was thinking, but God knew what He was doing.
Even without my help, the work was finished quickly. We were done by lunchtime. Since we finished early, we were able to do our drama again in another park. Five more people were saved!
