HEALTH:
Panchgani is well known for its excellent climate. The health
of our children usually improves considerably during their
stay here. A great deal of children's time is spent in the
open air, and walks and picnics are frequently arranged.
The school hospital is an airy and roomy building capable
of accommodating at least seventeen children if the need arises.
The school hospital contains:
(a) A large ward with fourteen beds (General Ward).
(b) A smaller ward with tow beds.
(c) A single room.
(d) A nurse's room connected with all the wards.
The school has a residential nurse who devotes her time
to the care of the children's health. Panchgani now has a
local hospital with paediatric and orthopaedic consultants
and facilities for any investigation and treatment.
A doctor from this hospital pays daily visit to the school.
If children are admitted in the hospital; necessary nursing
care will be provided by the school and the parents will be
informed immediately and asked to come to accept responsibility
for the health of the student. The expenses involved must
be paid by the parent.
