Miracles or Make Believe

Some years ago in Bethlehem,
A Child was born one day,
He brought to us a promise,
And hope for a brighter day.

The season wasn't wintertime,
And the world, was not snow white,
The times were not so easy,
Man's outlook was not so bright.

If Christ, was not in Christmas,
What then, should we believe,
A fable about Santa Claus?
What gifts could one receive?

I never saw a reindeer fly,
Nor a sleigh, that's filled with love,
I've never seen this, Santa Claus,
Ride down from high above.

If God could send us, such a gift,
On the very first, Christmas Day,
Why not give Him, the credit,
For loving us this way.

The time we waste on Santa Claus,
Could be spent to spread, The Word,
Of this man named, Jesus,
So His message, will be heard.
