Gone,
But Not Forgotten

All that's left are the memories,
Since from this world, you've gone,
Your life extinguished, in the night,
But yet, we're not alone.

The comfort of your tender touch,
And the warmth, of your sweet smile,
To know your journey's over,
And you've traveled your last mile.

For all those years, that you were there,
To guide us, everyday,
With love, and hope, and kindness,
For teaching us to pray.

You were there, throughout our lives,
In our thoughts, you shall remain.
Standing, hand in hand, with Jesus,
For you, we feel no pain.

Wit these few words, we say, "Good-bye,"
And know, in time we'll see,
You standing at The Throne of God,
So pure, and proud, and free.
