In Loving Memory of my Step-Grandfather:
John D. Warren

August 4, 1919 / August 23, 1995

We Bid You,
Adieu

Today, we lay you down to rest,
With Love, we let you go,
We'll carry on, we'll do our best,
To God, belongs your soul.

Yes, we'll, cry our tears in sorrow,
Because, we'll all miss you,
But in Heaven, you'll find your peace,
'Cause your journey here, is through.

We will keep with us, your memory,
As on our paths, we trod,
And we'll look forward, to the day,
We see you, there with God.

A painful thing, to say goodbye,
To such a friend and guide,
But, we'll take comfort, in the fact,
That with God, you now abide.

Thank you for the many years,
And the love that we all share,
The comfort in just knowing, you,
And for teaching us to care.
