Twenty years in the making, the basic tracks on this collection were recorded in 1983 with overdubs and remix in 2003.
Thom Parrott, Caleb Miles and Jim Schwar laid down the basic tracks "live" and usually on the first take. Thom played rhythm guitar, Caleb played bass and Jim played drums, except for "New Heartache" on which Thom played bass and Caleb played guitar. Thom's "reference" vocal was retained on most songs. All the other parts were added within a few weeks after the initial two three-hour sessions except some of Thom's overdubs which were added in the 22nd Century. These include all Thom's keyboard and mandolin work and some other odds and ends.
