Alepochori is a small village at 700m altitude on the west foothills of the magnificent Erymanthos mountain. Beautiful limestone outcrops dominate the area, a few of them inhabited by superb sport routes. Specialty of the area are the overhang full-of-stalactites and west-facing sectors at the left of the road and at the right of the river Tethreas just before entering the village. Therefore the best climbing season is October, November, early December and April. Rock seepage is usual from January to March, while in summer months climbing should stop at 2:00 pm, unless you move to the east-facing slab-climbing sectors.
| Accommodation Possible free-camping spots: 1. the opposite bank of the river (beware of private fields) 2. by the road before the little bridge 3. in the woods above the village (requires some search). Otherwise, the nearest campsite is almost as far as Patras. There is a hotel in village Kalentzi as well. There are about 60 routes graded from 5c to 8a+. Half of the routes are graded 7b/8a.
