For a population of just 300 people the town holds seven pubs, all of them kept busy with visiters and locals alike. There is music in most of the pubs at any time and the town is renowned for its supply of talented musicians.

Fair day
The town organises an annual 'Fair day' to celebrate its routes as a market town. The festival is a mountain of fun from start to finish for young and old alike, with street music, a wide variety of fun competitions, and the pubs swinging from morning to night.
