Sci-Fi/Paranormal/Fantasy

Started September 2, 2006. This is a story created out of boredom and my "what if" game. Inspired by Sherrilyn Kenyon's DH series and Christine Feehan's Dark series, it will hopefully bloom into something wonderful. I like to call it a mix between futuristic and paranormal, but you can decide yourself. Here's a synopsis:

• In a time when our world differs from much of what we know, where science and magick are inexplicably entwined, some humans have developed special abilities. What happens when one woman undergoes a change and is ripped from one side and placed into another? Who is the enemy? The people she once worked for and now hold her captive or the ones attacking? Lines are crossed and boundaries are blurred as Frankie chooses her side.

Started December 20, 2006. A story inspired through a dream, it was later evolved through a little brainstorming. I decided to try and write this a new way using a method from PBW. Instead of writing a journal for the characters, I'll be writing POVs and later adapting them to write the actual story. This way get a feel of the characters and how they feel about one another and their situation. Here's the gist:

• Years into the future when Earth has colonized other planets, a tension between Earth-natives and off planet worlders build. Soon, the colonies adapt elemental names: water, fire, wind. Earth renames itself Terra. Time passes and non-Terran humans begin interacting with their alien neighbors and soon interspecies relations develop. Terran citizens and government slowly begin to discriminate and target the colonies...a second citizenship is developed for the off-worlders. Tension escalates until civil war threatens. This story will be about a neutral party that thrives in FreeSpace having to choose sides. Featuring Aki Minori, a young crew member aboard the FireWing, and Kaden Darfur--a hybrid warrior on a mission. Through their story we will see that through death, life can begin anew.

Contemporary Romance

This story will eventually be retitled. Started on February 20th, 2004, this story is about two people who've always known one another but never really knew each other. Here's a snyposis:

• Leo Wright has always been attracted to her brother's best friend, Carter Blaine. But self-preservation kept her from acting on her lustful impulses, so when Carter decides to move in with her, she has no idea what to do. Carter has had his share of fantasies, most revolved around innocent Leona, but when a stalker starts getting aggressive, his non-brotherly feelings emerge. So, he moves in to protect the woman he?s known all his life. With Leo so close, Carter's having trouble sticking to just protecting. As danger nears, these two have to overcome insecurities, tempers, and jealous ex-girlfriends before both can find the love they crave.

...Which will also probably be retitled because I couldn't think of anything was started recently...only about a month ago. This is the sequel to MWMR featuring Leona's brother, Kyle. Synopsis:

• Julie Law has always been overlooked in life. At twenty-six she looked like she was twenty-one, which would be all well and good when she was older, but it was haphzardous for her right now. It also didn't help that she's had a crush on her employer ever since she'd laid eyes on him, and that was four years ago. But now he needs her help and how can she possibly say no? Kyle Wright had a problem. For some reason, someone was getting familiar with W&B's security systems and had successfully robbed two of the company's clients. He needs to know how. Then, there's the fact that quiet Julie is quite adept at getting in and out of the most complex of situations, including one of W&B's own security set-ups. Enlisting his secretary's help seems like such a great idea. But soon he sees there's more to Julie than meets the eye. As these two try to save the company and figure out who's behind the sabatoge, will they also find the key to each others' hearts?
