The PenSans Brewery's "hot end" consists of the three vessels shown below, interconnected with copper pipes, ball valves and a single electric pump (washing machine variety !).

During the brewing process the liquor and wort are allowed to flow along certain routes . . . none of which may be obvious to you at first sight . . . so below are links to the various stages of the process. In each image, the route the liquor or wort follows is indicated by colouring the relevant pipes blue. I think you'll get the hang of it fairly quickly !!
