sHOw 3 Years Old This Month
The sHOw MODULAR MODEL
RAILROAD CLUB held its first organizational meeting three
years ago on November 6th, 1993. The initial Board of
Directors were Mike Dowell, president, Brent Arritt,
vice-president, Tracy Reynolds, secretary-treasurer and Charles
Hogan, events coordinator. The stated purposes included the
investigation, definition, assembling and operation of a
modular model railroad. By April of 1994, we presented our
first model train EXPO in Fairview Shopping Center.
Other purposes were to develop the technical skills of persons
interested in the art and craft of model railroading; to educate in
methods of building and operating equipment and
prototype practices; and to promote fellowship among
model railroaders. We have worked hard to pursue these
purposes and the excellent modules that were created and
the success of the EXPS are reasons to celebrate this
anniversary. A more positive attitude about the club and good
fellowship among the members prevailed at recent meetings. In
three years we have lost only a few members: Eddie Stine,
Brent Arritt, Tracy Reynolds,

Next Meeting of
The sHOw at 10:00 A.M. Dec. 7
Jack Brown, Jay Jones and
Charles Hogan. Some or these
have indicated that they would
like to rejoin the club. The
interest in model railroading is
so minimal in Kentucky that we
need to promote the hobby and
provide help to each
other. We have reached
thousands with the EXPOS.
Thanks to all of our active
members whose financial
contributions and advise have
insured the continuation of the
club. We could not do the
EXPOS, Newsletter, pay
insurance, printing, postage and
buy supplies. Please fill out the
attached questionnaire and
return it to 710 College St.
Bowling Green KY 42101 by
November 30. We will use this
information to plan the schedule
of activities for 1997.
The sHOw Club will meet at
10:00 A.M. December 7, 1996
at Butler Motors, 710 College
Street in Bowling Green.
