HELP NEEDED ON
BRIMS MUSEUM
PERMANENT
MODEL RAILROAD
LAYOUT
Work began in October on
the permanent layout at
the BRIMS Museum on
Center Street.
Work sessions begin at 6:00
p.m. on Tuesday and
Thursday nights and each
Saturday from 10:00 am till
??? You can work at any
time, any day as long as
you contact David Boyd
and get the key.
This is a major committ-
ment of the sHOw CLUB.
A 13 by 30 foot layout is
no small undertaking.
We will need the help of
each and every member plus
friends to complete this
project by the December
7th opening.
Return your work sheet.
Progress
Report
In October the plywood
top was completed. The
first week of November we
purchased an engine, cars,
track, joiners and turnouts.
We fixed the center lines
and radii of curves were
transferred to the ply-
wood. Vinylbed was
glued and nailed down.
The second week we laid
track and turnouts and
wired the main bus and
began dropping the leads
for electric service. Oakes
is making a model of the L
& N depot for BRIMS and
lettered a caboose for
BRIMS.
Minutes
The business meeting met
November 1st at 8:30 at
Shoney's Restaurant in
Nashville, secretary John Oakes
presiding. After a breakfast
meeting we attended the
NMRA Cumberland Division
SER Meet and Model Train
Show.
SPECIAL
MEETING

We will meet at BRIMS on
Saturday November 15 to
work on the layout. We
need your buildings and
any other items you can
donate. A model of the lay-
out and specific
building/scenery needs
will be posted. When you
work, be sure and sign the
log and give the hours you
worked.
