Heintje Simons

Heintje Simons

Heintje Simons was a popular boy singer of the late sixties worldwide but especially in Holland and Germany.

Heintje Simons was born on the 12th August 1956 in the dutch border town Bleijerheide, a stones throw away from Germany where he would
make his recordings and become famous 11 years later.

Heintje began his career singing Italian ballads locally. A neighbour was so impressed he contacted
a talent scout Addy Kleijngeld. By means of Addy Kleijngeld he teamed up with Wolfgang Roloff 'Ronny'
to produce Heintje's first single "Mama" at eleven years of age. It was an instant hit and led to him being popular and
live performances not only in Germany but also Amsterdam, Zurich and Vienna. Other songs were released that also
charmed his audience such as "Ich bau' dir ein Schloß" "Du sollst nicht weinen", "Heidschi Bum-beidschi", 'Eine kleine Abschiedsträne", 'Ich sing ein Lied für dich"
and "Mamatschi". You will find pictures and music and a  detailed biography and discography here.
