Reptiles are divided into three orders; the Testudines (also sometimes known as Chelonia) (turtles and tortoises), the Crocodilia (Alligators and Crocodiles), and the large order Squamata. The order Squamata is divided into three suborders; the Lacertilia (Lizards), the Serpentes (Snakes), and a small group, the Amphisbaenia.
