I am a female chow with a heavy black coat. I am bathed weekly and groomed. I weigh 60 PDS, but as you can see from my picture, Im very pretty. I was born in 1994. My Mom(Betty/Ladyindy) took me from a home where I was mistreated and gave me a very happy and secure home.
I am very well trained by my Mom. She spent many long hours with me helping me to over come my fear with humans. She has taught me so much. I can now play ball, sit, and go for walks with her. I dont bark loud in the house because she doesnt like that. When I first came to live with her, I was afraid and would bite her but she never gave up on me. She has a few scars from me. I am very happy where I am now :).
Chows were used in China as hunters and guard dogs. They are dependent, arrogant and detached. When they bestow thier friendship you should feel privileged. They were recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1903.
